I liked this chair at first. It’s sort of comfortable, but not the best. Of course, it’s a little cheaply made, but you get what you pay for, I suppose. Unfortunately, after a few weeks (yes, weeks) this chair started creaking, and now creaks with any movement at all. I’m a light-ish person (130 lbs), and I put the chair together very carefully (which was actually pretty easy to assemble), but my goodness, the creaking is driving me crazy lol I have no idea what’s happening. I’ve inspected it to death, trying to figure out if I did something wrong when building it, and even getting on the ground and listening to the chair with my ear near the chair as my wife sat in it to make it creak, but I couldn’t find it! It might just be my chair? I don’t know. But I wouldn’t buy it again :(

As others have stated, you are not sitting at a 90 degree angle in this chair, you are leaning back a bit, which can cause some discomfort for anyone who already experiences sciatic pain. I also wish the lumbar support came up higher. Im 5' 6", average build so I'm not sure why its sitting so low for me. I didn't think not being able to lock the arm rests would be a problem but I guess that is a problem. They move too easily and it can be a bit annoying. For the older peeps who use arm rests to get up, find another chair as this can be a hazard. Aside from that, I would say this is a good option for someone who's looking for a chair in this price range. Update 11 mos later: the chair is not holding up. The back of the chair when in the locked position moves back to about 120 degrees. my back is killing me. Its already time for a replacement and it hasn't been a year. I wish I just bit the bullet and bought a high quality chair.

The design and build quality of this chair is excellent, and it was easy to put together with the exception of the wheels as I could not get them to pop in to place by hand. I had to use a resin mallet and pound pretty hard on the metal leg with the wheel on the floor to get them to snap in place. A significant design flaw is the lumbar support. While it is adjustable, up and down, forward and back, it is not curved to fit the body and is kind of hard. I've had place a piece of half inch foam pad behind me in order to make it comfortable for more than a few minutes but it was not enough. I saw someone else had a similar complaint, and was able to remove it and replace it with a small pillow but it doesn't look like it's actually easy to remove. After sitting on the chair for about a half an hour, actually looking for other chairs I might prefer, I decided I had to return this one, as my back was becoming increasingly sore and remained so for about an hour after getting out of the chair. Fortunately, I was able to get the chair apart again and carefully packed up again. I don’t know why some people think this chair is great. Maybe they have more padding on their own back, but I do not. I absolutely do not recommend buying this chair.

I really wanted to like this chair. I chose the SIHOO Ergonomic Office Chair because of the great reviews, however the seat is terribly uncomfortable for me. I'm 6'1 and 197 lbs and fit well into the chair. The head rest and back support are good. I just can't get comfortable on the seat. After a few minutes of sitting, my Hamstrings and Gluteus maximus start radiating pain. No matter how I sit, I can't get comfortable. It was so bad that I purchased two different seat cushions. Still, I can not sit in this chair for longer than 15 minutes without having to get up and shake it off. I would have returned the chair but the seller I purchased it from only offered 50% refund. If you like a stiff seat than maybe this chair is for you. If you prefer to sit on a cushioned chair, get a cushioned chair. I would suggest you try sitting on one of these at officemax or Staples before purchasing. I wish I had. Pros: This seat was very easy to put together. Looks nice Cons: Seat is uncomfortable.

i notice with this brand it's very hard to know exactly what you're getting. before purchasing i copied and pasted the information into google and youtube, to help find what i was looking for. i found a video and it looked good. then it finally gets here and i'm very disappointed. every. single. time. i sit in this thing i bump the arm rests. you can raise them up and down with a locked switch, but they flimsily lock themselves left and right with the a light touch. it's not broken. it's designed to be this way. it's really obnoxious. they also wobble at the slightest touch. touching it with a piece of paper, and it wobbles. i can't believe i paid so much for this and it's this cheaply made. the head rest feels very cheap and uncomfortable. it's also very flimsy and easily readjusted when you don't want it to, like the arm rests, but not quite as bad. i just took it off. as far as the seat and the back it's not bad at all. but it is NOT worth the price with all of this defects. i wish i bought a different brand or a more expensive model from SIHOO. i heard these were good chairs online so i'm really disappointed.

"Ergonomic" is just a "word" when it comes to this chair, I got this chair on 7/15/23 and I waited until today 8/25/23 before I came here and gave my opinion and what I think about this chair. For starters, the chair is not comfortable at all the mesh is hard, and it feels like you are sitting on a piece of plywood I had to place a cushion and even that doesn't help after sitting for a while, and am not talking hours more like 1/2 hr and you start to feel unpleasant, the bottom mesh frame design make it that your rear end sinks and then arches up in your thigh and drops off before the back of your knee sorry if my explanation is hard to picture but the easy way is to understand is to picture a pringle potato chip looks like a scoop right well lower the depth of the scoop by half now place a mesh smack in the middle of it and you got this chair, not comfy at all. Although the chair received positive reviews from tall men, I, at 5'9", find the backrest to sit too low, right under my shoulder blades. The armrest moves left and right very loose and not sturdy at all design flaws and cheap manufacturing I will attach a small video of the armrest. Now do I recommend this chair NO, will the price swindell my recommendation NO, because it cost me $180 So yeah not hoping for the best but still not settling for a mediocre mass-produced item that doesn't hold one single inch of "Ergonomic" so beware. As for me being stuck with this ass-torturing chair thank you ( SIHOO) for nothing!!!

The most uncomfortable chair I have ever used. The arms wobble and sit at odd angles that can only be used by placing your arms at odd angles. The seat is very narrow and the edges dig into any man sitting in even the most narrow man-spreading position. the headrest is a wobbly mess that only reminds you that it is there by smacking your in the lower neck/cranium and lacks any decent positions or variability. It is easy(ish) to assemble if you have any IKEA experience, but the hardware is junk. spend more and get a better chair, if it looks too goo, it probably is!

When leaning back in the chair, there is a loud, irritating noise that accompanies the movement. It's not just annoying; it's embarrassing when you're in a quiet office environment or trying to concentrate on a task. This chair is definitely not suitable for any situation where noise could be a distraction. Comfort is one of the primary factors we consider when purchasing a chair, and unfortunately, this chair falls woefully short in this regard. It's not just a matter of being a little uncomfortable; it's truly unbearable. Sitting in this chair for extended periods is a nightmare. It offers little to no support, and the cushioning, if it can even be called that, is virtually non-existent. It's like sitting on a hard, unforgiving rock, and this has resulted in me experiencing persistent back pain. Speaking of back pain, I've never had such a negative experience with a chair in terms of its impact on my physical well-being. The lack of ergonomic design and support in this chair is astonishing. It feels like it was designed to punish your back rather than support it. After using this chair for a relatively short period, I began to experience significant discomfort and pain in my lower back. It's clear that the chair's design is fundamentally flawed and poses a real risk to the user's health and comfort. In summary, this chair is the worst I've ever encountered.
