Love these chairs. Really sturdy, and the color was a warm, medium brown that complemented the new Mahogany dining table I'd just made for myself. A perfect compliment and color match. The seats are comfortable and confidence inspiring, you can move them around. Glides make a difference. The front legs have little adjusters let into them, I guess they're useful but the foot now becomes about 1/2" round, not enough. I don't use them. Assembly is straightforward, well labeled and packaged. I liked them so much I bought 2, then 2 more. There are a lot of hex bolts and they all have a thread locking compound already on them. That will be an advantage as time goes by, but for now those bolts are difficult to seat. There are many of them, and your hand will tire. The mfgr provides an allen wrench or two - I cut the end off one and used a cordless drill driver with the straight end inserted in the drive. First chair? 30 minutes, tired hand as another reviewer commented. The next 3 chairs only required about 15 minutes for all 3 of them and hand was not impacted. ... show more

Well constructed, not light weight. These assemble easily using the provided hex wrench and match the Ashley Shulden dining table perfectly. The front legs come with nylon or plastic leveling screws installed which I backed out to their stops b/c I don't want them moving as I push the chair in / out from the table. I used 3/4" stick-on felt pads I had on-hand for the rears but you can order 3/4" nail-on furniture sliders along with your order. 5/8" pads will work too. Seat height is around 18 1/4" depending were you measure and 18 3/8"max, the foam is just right, not too soft, compresses maybe 1/2" for my weight 165lbs so the seat height ends up being around 17 3/4 to 17 7/8" with the felt pads. About one-twenty-five for the pair at this time. ... show more

Nice looking, comfortable easy to assemble besides one chair. One corner of the seat was missing the bolt holes for one of the legs. No issues for me since I had the proper tools to fix the issue but an inconvenience for sure.

I spent months looking for chairs to match our old oak table. The original chairs are still in fair condition, but there's only 3 of them left. After ordering some that had to be returned (at a sizeable fee - but not from Amazon), and spending entirely too much time at local furniture stores, I finally saw these. I bought them during the black Friday sale and I'm so happy I did. The packaging on these was incredible. Everything wrapped separately so no chance of scratching. The seats were packed with all the hardware needed for each chair packaged inside. I cannot tell you how convenient that was as compared to trying to sort through all the hardware and hope you get the right screw, tab, whatever. These were a little daunting to put together at first due to the angle of the legs, but once you get the seat centered (hint - use the tab in the middle back of the seat and insert it in the hole made for it before you put in the screws). The screws are machined, so top quality, and even had some Loctite on the ends for securing them. Like most things, the first one was the hardest to put together, but then I had the secret. The other 3 went together much easier and faster. We did have a little wobble with 2 chairs, but that was easily corrected with the built-in foot adjusters on the front legs. I bought 4 of these chairs (2 boxes) to use around a dining table in a cabin. The chairs are packaged well and don’t have too many steps for assembly. The workmanship was good and instructions were clear. I did put on a pair of gloves to give my hand some extra traction in using the Allen wrench-it’s a lot of turning that can be hard on thumbs and fingers. Each chair took about 30 minutes to assemble. They are sturdy and comfortable to sit at for a long dinner. I did add glides to the chairs-the back legs are 3/4 x 1 1/2, while the front legs are 1 inch square. If I needed more chairs, I would by these again- they are good value for the money. ... show more

After easy assembly that took about 15 minutes the 1st chair then about 10 minutes for each chair after. Very sturdy. The front legs have a double threaded stud for adjusting un-even legs if needed however these didn't work well and I had to use thread locker to keep them in place. The micro fiber seat material isn't the best. Any time it's touched it leaves a witness mark due to the fabric laying a different direction which isn't a big deal it just looks awkward. The wood stain is even and the finish looks very good. Very noisy when sliding over a wood finished floor. The box had "Ashley Furniture" printed on it. I would purchase again and recommend for the price, two chairs less than $100. ... show more
