Very nice looking lamp but it is very lightweight. For the price you would think it would be heavier. Also, it is a 3 way light but it doesn’t work. We tried several different Tri-light bulbs. It only works on the second setting. Will be sending them both back.

It's extremely light weight and big! I love that! The metal is NOT 3D, meaning it's more of a smooth surface and the depth is really the treatment on the metal. The base is metal, making it VERY light weight. Someone said the shade is plastic, it's not. The outer is like a burlap fabric (only finer). At $99 it's still a lot of money, especially since it's not "earthware" but... I'll keep it. ... show more

This is our second TV base. The LARGER base was designed slightly different--and was better. Using the smaller base, the TV is not as secure--it literally sits on the base and is attached with a small clip/screw.

    • Very thin metal; easily damaged…which it was in transit.
My lamp arrived damaged: three dents and scratches. The damage was most likely caused by the packing; the bulb socket assembly was loose in the carton, probably bouncing around in transit. The base of the lamp was made of very light metal, making it easy to dent. The base was light enough to allow the lamp be top heavy, as the shade was very large and weighty.
