Very wide and long enough for a 6'1" person with legs extended. (feet barely hang off the edge when fully extended) Can almost fit two people if you are snuggling or just very comfortable together :) The faux leather is not at all like most fake leathers- the texture is soft and smooth like suede. Built quite sturdy and without the ability to rock, which I wanted in a recliner. Delivery came much quicker than projected- about a week from half-way across country. Slept in the chair for about three hours this afternoon when I had no intention of falling asleep. I should mention that the seat padding is a bit on the firm side if you prefer a very soft chair.
