This table is gorgeous and very durable! The dark brown color is great, and it arrived in perfect condition. Yes, it was very heavy at 130 pounds, but Ashley packed it really well and the Amazon delivery person leaned it against the wall on my porch, so when I got home I was able (as a not-so-strong person) to fairly easily scoot it over the door threshold and safely into the room onto an area rug with no damage to the table. I purchased the matching chairs and bench to seat 6 and altogether it cost me under $1k, so I'm very happy with the quality, the look and the savings compared to the sets I'd seen at local furniture stores. I plan to use it with the butterfly leaf for family dinners with guests and then be able to put the leaf away for puzzles and crafts. I like the fact that the design is simple and the legs won't get in the way of pushing the chairs under the table; people sitting at the table will have plenty of open legroom. ... show more

The table is perfect for our needs. We have been hunting high and low for an expandable table that won't break the bank. This one looks like our furniture in our bedroom. The "deep scratches" are part of the design (coming from someone who has pieces from the same line). We ordered the table expecting it early. It got delayed twice. I was worried it wouldn't get here in time for Thanksgiving. Luckily, Amazon customer service was great and got my table delivered the day before! No scratches, the box looked a little beat up, but the table was in perfect condition. The video has 10 in plates for reference for how large the table is. It is sturdy and very heavy. It is going to last a long time. Get helping bringing it in if you have them leave it outside. The table length without the leaf is actually 60.25in not 63 like it says. East to put together. Just unscrew the shipping blocks and put on the legs. Took about 15-20 min from unboxing to standing up. The table is great. Perfect for our needs and our many dinner guests. ... show more

I was definitely hesitant to buy a table without seeing it first in person, but once we got is set up it looks great. It is very sturdy (as are the matching chairs which we also purchased on here) and appears to be well made. When the box came, it was very beat up and I was not expecting it to be in good shape. After trying to move it inside, I realized at least in part why it the box looked so beat up- this sucker is heavy. I had to recruit my neighbor to help me lift it inside. Once inside, I opened the box and, to my relief, it was in overall good shape. There was one chip on the bottom of one of the table legs, but that part is touching the floor and you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it. Also the leaf that is embedded in the table had the screws missing, so it didn't stay in. A call to customer service solved that easily and they were very helpful. Now that it is together (assembly is not difficult- the biggest thing is you will need two people to move it), it looks great. We got the matching chairs with it and honestly the set looks like it should cost more than it did. I don't know if it's something we did or if it was just there already, but there is a very small bubble in the finish near where the table comes apart for the leaf in the middle. I had to point it out to my wife, so it isn't very noticeable. We have taken care to keep it covered for daily use so it has held up very well since we got it over 4 months ago. If it wasn't for the missing screws, the chip on the bottom of one of the legs, and the tiny bubble, this would get a 5 star for sure. ... show more

Box was delivered to front porch in a damaged box with one corner exposed. This is 150lbs and impossible to get in the house without lots of help. Delivery did not even ring the doorbell. The tabletop has two areas of defect on one side. It appears as if the saw did not cut straight in those areas. This is too heavy to try to return so will just live with it. Finish appears nice but it is not fully smooth as it has cuts along the tabletop making it slightly rustic look. Did not see that in the sales photo. ... show more

So thrilled with this table. Love the simple design and the weather-wood detailing. The dark brown color is beautiful, and the rounded corners are a great touch. Super easy to assemble. Just pop the four legs on and you're good to go. The leaf is a bit hard to extend solo, so I suggest always doing this with two people to prevent twisting and damaging the mechanisms (those who have never had an in-table leaf storing table might not be used to this, so very important point). Only constructive criticism I can give this beauty if that I wish it had more weathered detailing. The "gouges" many other reviewers have complained about are indeed part of the design -- mine table personally had 6 of these, and I wish it had more, because that subtle detail gives the table such character. 5/5 stars, highly recommended! ... show more

This is a great table. Very heavy, which I did not expect, not for the price. The only assembly is legs and you have to unscrew four screws so that you can open the butterfly leaf. It’s done for shipping. The only drawback is is that the table has to move. It’s not just a slide top With the table being so happy you need two people to open the butterfly leaf. But other than that, I would gladly have someone help me then have not a great table. But this is so sturdy and strong. I still recommend this table. We purchased the dark brown, which is more like a dark cherry if you will. NOTE-those are Ashley chairs I purchased 10 years ago with another table—love this one more ... show more
