I’ve put together a few tons of furniture in my lifetime and I must say that this chest of drawers was so very well designed. Instructions were clear and concise and done in a wonderfully well thought out progression. It said it was a 2 person job but I did it easily by myself. BTW I am a 64 year old woman. The quality was good for the price point and I was so relieved to see the drawer guides were pre installed. Those can be a real bugger. Ashley furniture kits have never disappointed me. As a bonus, all of the packaging was recyclable! Not one piece of lousy styrofoam to get rid of. The box was heavy but arrived in perfect condition. Very well packed.

I never write reviews but I’ve only had this dresser for about a year and a half and it’s falling apart. I got it because the style and price were appealing but you’re better off spending more on something that’s supposed to last you more than a year… the bottom parts of the drawers are not holding up. And the drawers never stay closed. Don’t waste your money

Just bought and assembled the dresser so I can’t comment about the longevity and stability of it just yet. I’ll come and update in about a month or so. The box is heavy but I didn’t have a problem bringing in my house from the door step by myself. All of the pieces to the dresser came in. Nothing was damaged or broken. Assembly took about 3 hours. I will say that some of the pre-drilled holes was off and wasn’t aligned with the screws that needed to go inside to connect a piece, so we had to drill new holes. Annoying but wasn’t a huge deal. After assembly, the drawers are a little off but it’s not terribly noticeable; probably because the rails were already pre-attached. Its pretty sturdy, it doesn’t wobble or anything. The drawers glide in and out nicely and it’s pretty deep for spacing. The height is nice. It’s about 34 inches tall and I’m 5’7, so it’s high enough to wear I don’t have bend low over it. It definitely looks cheap lol. This is the type of dresser you need to be gentle with and not abuse it by stuffing a lot of clothes in it. I bought this dresser for my first apartment so I just need something to hold me over for a minute until I’m ready to invest in something that I can have for a very long time. Overall, my experience was different than most of the other reviews. Sounds like the dresser was a hit or miss and I guess I just got lucky. I’ve only had it for a day but I like it. I think it’ll do what I need it to do for the time being. Can’t complain so far. It’s definitely a starter dresser!

I bought the dresser and the matching side tables at the same time. Put the side tables together first, everything was good. Then I started the dresser and got to the very end where you actually put the dresser drawers together, turns out they left out 2 of the back boards for the dresser and the screws. Frustrating because I already started the work to get the room put together and now I have to wait 7-10 days for the parts to even be acknowledged or processed in Ashley Furnitures system and then they will ship out sometime after that. So I’m looking at another 2 or more weeks before I can have my room put together. I guess the positive was that it was easy to contact Ashley furniture and they didn’t ask a million questions about the product. Just annoying to have to wait that long simply because all the parts weren’t there. I guess that’s what you get for cheap furniture though. Update- it’s been over a year now and the dresser never held up. Any clothes that were placed in the drawers wouldn’t make them bend and not be able to open. The bottom of the drawers just wouldn’t stay in the grooves. Ended up throwing the whole thing away because it just didn’t function right & my son could never open the drawer himself. I always had to pop the drawer back into place before opening.

Instructions were easy at first but was slightly confusing when we got to the drawers. The bent looking screws you have to put in the holes and kind of bend outwards gently to set up the sides of the drawers. Once completed it looked pretty good. We were missing 1 screw for one of the handles but I went to ACE hardware and picked up a screw and problem solved. I also would protect the top as it seems to scratch easy.

took me 45 mins alone to assemble this. well organized and labeled screws and parts, labeled pieces and the best was that the rails were already pre assembled on the panels something that is usually time consuming and has the highest chance to go wrong. funny that I assembled another drawer right after this and it took me almost 3 hours. they are not getting any starts! also to clarify I consider myself very handy and pretty good with tools. so this may take a regular person 1.5 hour to assemble but again the instruction are pretty clear and I think anyone can do it.
