I don’t write many reviews but these puppies deserve a shout out. I know furniture. My first job was working for a major furniture company in the warehouse. I’ve assembled more pieces of furniture than I care to admit. Every time I moved with my job (over a dozen times), I bought more furniture. I can reliably give my unbiased opinion about this pair: (1) The shipment comes in two boxes. I got about 3/4 of the way with the first piece and thought I was missing another box. I plugged on and once I was finished, I was left with enough parts for the second piece. And lemme tell you, there are a LOT of pieces and a LOT of fasteners, screws, and dowels. (2) I’m not lyin, this first piece took me about two hours to assemble. Considering how many assemblies I’ve got under my belt, I didn’t expect it to take as long as it did. I used a drill to speed things up and it really really helped. If I didn’t have a drill and knowing what I do now about this set, I’d have paid to have it assembled. If you fit time to kill, have at it. But expect to spend at least 3 hours if you’ve got little experience under your belt. (3). The instructions and illustrations are the best I’ve seen for any assembled furniture. Real pictures of the fasteners *really* help. The pieces are all marked very well and described perfectly in the instructions. Again, I have to say this is one of the most well thought out product design, tools (all included) and directions. (4) The final product is quite impressive. They provide felt covers for every visible fastener to hide the silver. I used only a fraction because most are in too hard of areas to note. But the amount they provide shows they really care about craftsmanship. (5). The quality is solid. It’s a sturdy piece of furniture and when you’re done, it looks terrific. I was expecting it to be bigger than it was. The view from picture appears to be a good sized nightstand. It is smaller, but damn, the unit looks amazing when it’s lit up and that alone was the reward for the hassle of self assembly. (6). The Lights - - what can I say, the strip lights under the riser make this thing ROCK. I’m big on ambient lighting and this sets the mood amazingly well. Overall, I’d give this unit a 10. I’m a harsh critic and I couldn’t find one to thing I didn’t like about these nightstands. Yes, assembly was a major pain in the tail, but when you’re done, you can be proud of your efforts and how these will look in your bedroom! ... show more

So, assembly was a bit complicated and the instructions could use some editing (it will take a while to build both) BUT once done it’s so beautiful and great quality that it’s beyond worth the headache of putting it together. Still giving 5 stars!!!

The night stands arrived early, packaged perfectly, no defects. The nightstand is sturdy and it’s a quality stand. It took me about three hours to assemble the first night stand without a mini power drill. I used a screw driver that needed to be replaced. So, I went to Walmart and purchased a 10 dollar mini drill. Also, I struggled to figure out how to assemble the drawer rack pieces. The photos in the instructions did not provide enough information about the direction they should face! Anyway, it only took me 1 hour to assemble the 2nd nightstand! My daughter loves the lights on the nightstand! They switch to all of the primary colors! It’s worth the purchase. I hope that the photos are helpful! ... show more

I had such a hard time assembling these. They are not for beginners in my opinion. My husband had to take over and he figured it out, but the instructions were not clear. The media could not be loaded. These nightstands are super cool with the color and design. Yes they are a little small so if you are looking for bedside storage, I don’t recommend. Also, if you have a higher up bed they won’t be even to the height of it. They are rather small but I love the colors of the lights. It’s a pretty cool and unique look! It adds so much character to our room. My husband is a carpenter so of course the build was easy for him. If you’re not handy person, hire someone to assemble, ask a family member or friend who’s good at building things, or take your time and read the directions step by step. I’m sure there are plenty of YouTube videos to help guide you through. I like the product and the pricing for two! ... show more

You have to pay to return this. As a "Prime Member" I'm not paying to return it, and when this is the case, "AMAZON should pull a pop up window to make you aware of this," not some small type somewhere. I will donate them. I assure everyone the quality is not that good. I have purchased 92 orders with AMAZON in the past 2 1/2 months. I started putting it together and decided to put it back in the box after several of the plastic nuts fixed in the wood was smashed, and the quality of the wood was thin and cheep looking. My wife passed away a month ago and my kids suggested that I move things to the guest room and replace the bedroom since I have not been able to sleep in the bedroom and I have went to AMAZON to order a new bedroom set. Not sure AMAZON is the place to order things like this. Probably better to see what you are going to look at everyday. ... show more

I assembled by myself and took close to 90 min each. There is a lot of hardware but makes it sturdy. I’m renovating my house one room at a time so took 2 months to assemble the tables once my daughter’s room was finished. One of the tables had a bad plug for the light and was really dim and flickered then go out. I contacted the seller and even past the 30 day they worked with me and sent me a replacement with no hassle. Thank you so much. ... show more
