  • I like it
Color: Mahogany
I like it. I've only had it a few weeks but so far so good. Everything arrived in perfect condition, nothing was damaged. WARNING!!! it has a lot of pieces to put together. I have put together A LOT of furniture so this was not hard nor the hardest thing I have put together, BUT a first timer will want to cry. The advantage of THIS dresser is the instructions are VERY detailed. Most instructions are vague or only a picture with pointing arrows. These instructions are assembly friendly. If you're a beginner, I would suggest to find something to keep the hardware in order, like the muffin tin I used, this is the first thing I do when assembling anything. It took a good 3 hrs to assemble, that includes inspecting every piece separating the hardware and snacks within arms reach. I would suggest having someone help with assembling the middle; It will be slightly difficult to install the planks to each end without help. You need a Phillips head screw driver and a hammer. You should not use a drill for the screws but I did for most the the assemble, you can mess up if you screw it too tight and split the wood but I do this a lot and know how to control the torque on the drill. The drawers are 27 inches wide (side to side) 13 inches long (front to back) and 4 inches deep. This dresser is pretty sturdy, it's just to hold clothing, it's not in a kids room, no one is going to climb on it. The top drawers with lock and key is cute --IT'S NOT A SAFE-- but if you have roommates or someone that will be mosey; this can be a deterrent. It would be obvious if someone tried to tamper with it. All and all it's a nice dresser but if this is your first time assembling this will take a long time and be frustrating. I would suggest it to a friend and help them put it together :) ... show more

  • Awful.
Color: Chocolate
This dresser is a piece of crap. I’m in college so putting together the money to even buy the dresser was a pain in the ass and then to get it and it just fall apart every time I try to use it was just a giant disappointment. Almost every single piece of wood has it’s paint or sticker or whatever it is torn off or scratched or buffed probably from factory packing because the delivery was very sturdy and good. The body of the dresser was decently good to put together. The only thing that was bad about the body was the locking black plastic pieces. No MATTER how hard you hammer, you cannot get the plastic dowels to stick together. I dented some of the pieces of cheap wood by simply trying to build it, making the top bowed. The metal locking pieces are the biggest problem on the drawers and once again the plastic dowels. The only thing that I could do to save it was to screw a long screw into the side of the drawer to help it stay together and even then it just doesn’t look good. You definitely cannot just put this together with a screw driver either, you NEED power tools unless you’re the hulk. Half of the holes are not screwed in and half of the pieces where the holes were provided just made it splinter and break more. The drawers are not flush because the front is simply falling off. The locking screws are awful and break the second you pull the dresser drawer. The only halfway decent things are the locking drawers and the body portion. I would send it back and demand my money back but at this point it’s just so much of a hassle to even take it apart and send it back. Do NOT waste your money on this piece of crap, especially if you’re like me and were expecting a halfway decent piece of furniture that at least stays together when you go to use it. The problem with companies like this is they scam you out of your money by sending you the cheapest piece of wood and worst screws to work with and incorrect tool instructions as well. ... show more

  • Regular guy review
Color: Mahogany
First off, there are a lot of negative reviews related to chips, scratches, and damage to the product. This is a complaint directed to the method and treatment during delivery and not the product itself. Ignore them. The product is properly packed to withstand reasonable bumps during delivery. It would be nice if it had paper between the boards, but in my examination it is not necessary as the veneer is durable and the packing is tight enough that there is minimal movement. There are also a lot of negative comments in reviews about the amount of time. I am relatively good with tools and assembly took me about 2 hours. That said, this is not high quality furniture. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. Except for one piece, all parts are all particle board with a paper printed veneer. They are delicate until assembled and relatively strong after. The hardware is cheap but functional. Metal slides and plastic handles. That are not top notch but they do the job. Importantly, the pre drilled holes are accurate and reliable. I do fault the assembly for the particle board drawer bottoms. They are thin and will work fine for light duty, but any weight and there will be issues. Clothes are fine, but a rock collection is not. The instructions are no nonsense but reasonable. If you have any missing screws ( I did not) they are detailed in the instructions and an equivalent is common at the hardware store. I deviated from the instructions in a several key ways: First, predrilled holes for screws on the sides of the dresser are not countersunk. I wanted the screw heads flush so I modified it. Second, those screws are meant to pull the sides into the dividers for tight assembly. Do not rely on the screws to do the work. It's just particle board and it will strip. Best advice is to use a clamp to pull them tight, then screw together. Third, the dowels are nylon. Durable, but I replaced with wood dowels and glued them for additional strength. Lastly, most of the surfaces are veneer but for any wood to wood I added glue for extra strength. 4/5 stars because it would not have been much expense for better hardware. ... show more

  • Perfect Dresser
Color: White
I picked out this dresser for a specific location in my room, which many may find odd that I out it in my closet. We downsized to a much smaller home last spring, and space is rather limited for furniture in my bedroom. The dimensions were perfect, and while timely to put together, the whole dresser went up with ease. Granted, I did get distracted by the TV a few times as I was putting it together. I was also concerned I would have trouble moving it into the closet, but it was not that heavy, and I was able to move it with minimal effort and by myself without the use of a furniture dolly. The drawers assembled quickly and slide properly into place. I did use a drill for many of the screws, though it is not required—just offered ease of assembly. When I ordered it, I didn't realize that it came with the top two drawers having locks. We've been using one to keep personal documents in, and the other is filled with socks. Right now, so I don't lose the keys, they are just inside of the key holes. They are two separate sets of keys for each lock. The only drawback I have to say about this dresser is that the drawers are not super deep, nor do they have much depth. It really isn't the biggest issue, as I have been trying to downsize how many clothes I tend to use, but it has gotten stuck on the way I tend to fold my t-shirts, or if I stack too many pants on top of each other. All in all, I would say that it is worth the price, and it is a very sturdy piece of furniture. ... show more

  • Do not buy this unless you want to end up crying and throwing money away
Color: Black
EDITED REVIEW: I took a few days to clear my head and picked back up on building this thing and realized I misread the instructions! I forgot to screw something in and thats why it broke, I'm giving this item 3 stars now because it is pretty difficult to build and instructions take a few times of looking over to truly understand. The first few pieces of assembly are the hardest to understand but then it gets easier. I used some wood glue to put the pieces i broke back together. Once assembled it actually seems pretty sturdy! The handles look pretty cheap but other than that its not bad looking. If assembled correctly one can do it alone, it's not super easy but its doable! It took me about 7 or 8 hours total. Glad I didn't throw this out! I would give this 0 stars if i could!!!! Impossible to build! I built ikea furniture for a living for 5 years and I couldn't assemble this, instructions are not clear , "predrilled holes" are a joke, you have to drill them yourself. After trying to stand this up and put the two side pieces together (per instructions) the middle pieces fell off and stripped the dowel holes. Now it is broken. I paid almost 200$ for nothing! Its sitting on my floor in pieces will not be able to fix this. I'm so angry I should have read the reviews before I wasted my money on this piece of junk. I'd ask for a refund but the box is too heavy and broken so I can't even ship it back. Do not waste your time or money on this unless you have a professional to help you build, definitely a two person job, single people like myself beware. ... show more

  • Exactly as pictured, pleasantly surprised
Color: White
Given the 3.5 stars, I was not expecting a lot out of this multidrawer. I bought two matching to help organize my craft room and plan to install a desktop between the two cabinets. I am very handy, and have put my fair share of precut furniture together. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised. These were no more difficult than any ikea or target furniture to assemble. Similarly, if you have assembled similar furniture, the instructions will absolutely be sufficient. Each unit took me 2.5 hours to assemble on my own. With two people this would have gone faster. Based on prior reviews, I carefully opened and unpacked each box to prevent crumbling styrofoam. I checked each piece for scratches and chips. Only one piece showed damage, a small chip that I was able to repair with painters tape and wood glue. The piece is on the bottom of a drawer and would not have caused structural or aesthetic issues. Two screws were poorly machined out of the two units. They were easily replaced with some from my home tool box. Outside of that, the units assembled easily. Each piece is individually labeled. In contrast to previous reviews, each hardware type was individually packaged and labeled, which aided in the ease of assembly. Additionally, magic sliders were included to allow for easy scratch-free movement across our tile floor. The quality and price is similar to ikea or target precut furniture. Similarly it is of comparable sturdiness - I wouldn’t trust it to hold up to a classroom of kindergartners, but for general adult use, this fits the bill. I appreciated the careful packaging and delivery straight to my door. ... show more

  • Avoid this disaster
Color: Chocolate
Oh, where do I begin with this delightful disaster? If you're in the market for a dresser that doubles as a life lesson in disappointment, look no further. This masterpiece of mediocrity is made of wood so poor that even termites would take pity. The fun began during assembly. Like a plot twist in a thriller, pieces started falling apart before my eyes. It was almost as if the dresser had a mind of its own, desperately trying to escape the horror of being assembled. Who knew furniture could experience existential dread? After a heroic struggle, I managed to get it fully assembled, feeling a sense of accomplishment akin to climbing Everest. But my triumph was short-lived. The moment I attempted to move it, the dresser disintegrated like a villain in an old sci-fi movie vaporized by a laser beam. Cue the dramatic music! The drawers, oh the drawers! Assembling them was like trying to solve a Rubik's cube with missing pieces. They never quite fit together, and every time I tried to use one, it would leap out of the dresser in protest, as if to say, "Nope, not today!" Aesthetically, it looks okay if you squint and avoid touching it. The finish, which is basically contact paper over cheap laminate, gives it a glamorous appearance of a set piece from a low-budget film. Just don't get too close or you might break the illusion—and the dresser. In conclusion, this dresser is perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of fleeting functionality to their home. It excels as a conversation piece and a poignant reminder that sometimes, it's the journey that counts, not the destination. Five stars for its unintentional humor and contribution to modern art. One star for being an actual dresser. Update (15 months later): Just when I thought this tragic saga had ended, the fronts of the drawers decided to jump ship. Yes, they’re now falling off one by one, as if even they’ve grown tired of being attached to this catastrophe. ... show more

  • Definitely NOT worth the time and effort.
Color: Black
The instructions were possibly, the worst, most incoherent, instructions that ive ever read. You'll definitely mess up a few steps along the way. There is no pre-drilled holes for certain steps so you'll just have to guess. The wood quality is extremely poor. It's pressed wood chips so I didn't expect it to be perfect, but this was unbelievably awful. If you screw in a piece just a little bit wrong then the wood WILL split, crack, and break. Pieces are bent slightly and nothing fits together, you will have gaps and openings in this drawer. DO NOT buy this dresser if you're interested in the locks. The mechanism doesn't even work correctly and if it did, then it would not be secure. It's held together by a small piece of metal that catches on the lock when opening. If someone wanted to get into your drawer, all they would have to do is pull hard and bend the metal or rip it out of the wood entirely (which would be extremely easy.) Building time was about 3-4 hours by myself, im sure you could half that time with two people. For something so heavy I did expect more quality but I guess that's my own fault for buying something less than 200 dollars. If you're looking for something cheap, you don't mind the grueling work, and the less-than-mediocre product, then this is for you. You can definitely find things in this price range that are much easier to build (and actually work) out there! ... show more
