This mattress is great! I replaced a $3000 Temperpedic with it & was nervous but wanted a softer mattress because I’m a side sleeper & had to turn over multiple times due to a sore shoulder. This mattress is very soft & perfect for a side sleeper. I maybe only turn once a night now & my shoulder doesn’t really get sore at all. I don’t know how it will wear long term but I’ve had it 2 months and couldn’t be happier especially for this price point. ... show more

This is the second Elite Chime mattress I've purchased. The first has been used by my 6'2", 359lbs son for the last 4 years and is like new. When it was time to replace our mattress, my husband was leary going with a memory foam mattress after a bad experience with Temperpedic mattress in the past however the price was impossible to beat. We are both pleased with the comfort and support of this mattress! My husband's snoring has significantly decreased and I wake up with no lower back pain! Shipping was much quicker then expected (less then 3 days and we live in the middle of nowhere) There was no smell when we removed the plastic, there nearly no motion transfer, and it expanded to its advertised depth almost immediately (we slept on it after about 6 hours of expansion). ... show more

It is NOT a firm mattress! It's soft like a big piece of thick foam with not much support. AND absolutely NO SUPPORT on the edges. It sinks in so bad that when I sat on the edge, I slid off! If you push down on it, the sides bulge. May be good for a child's bed but definitely not for two full-size adults. Do yourself a favor and go to a real mattress store and buy a decent one. So disappointed that I took the online bed-in-a-box route. Can't believe it got so many good reviews. ... show more

    • Good value plush mattress - perfect for side sleepers
So far I'm very happy with this mattress. I wanted something plush as I'm a side sleeper and this mattress is soft enough for me to sleep comfortably. I'm not waking up with the shoulder pain I had been experiencing with my old mattress and do far less tossing-and-turning trying to get comfortable. If you are looking for a firm mattress this one is not for you but if you are a side sleeper like me it's great. Also, despite the fact that it is plush I found that the edges are firm enough to sit on. Note that the box with the queen-sized mattress weighs more that 70 pounds and it bulky to lift! Make sure you have help to move it and lug it upstairs if needed. My only real complaint was the packaging. Like almost all mattresses this one was compressed and sealed in plastic but there was so much plastic it was difficult and time consuming to take it off. ... show more
