I purchased the Sigma ART F1.8 18-35mm about 4 months ago and it has easily became my main lens. I have been a portrait photographer for about 2 years strong now and having a crisp and clear image is everything to me. Originally I use a 85mm Canon EF lens, however I had been looking for a wider lens and I knew about the 18-35mm by Sigma but never drew up the courage to make the large purchase. BOY was I wrong for waiting so long. The moment I decided to just make the decision to purchase this lens my life has been so much easier. This is the PERFECT lens. It is super sharp and the autofocus is out of this world. I can't give it less than 5 stars because that would be a disgrace to this lens. This is a photographers dream lens and since I made the purchase it has made shooting not only portraits better with new perspectives, but it has allowed me to shoot all of my music videos on it as well. I usually keep it at a 24mm but with the versatility of this lens just makes it that much easier to shoot wider or closer. Also, it does mount on a gimbal. (MOZA AIR 3) This lens however is very heavy, and since I shoot with a battery grip attachment it makes it that much heavier. This is the only negative behind this lens, if you even want to consider it a negative since it is expected. The motors are silent and the fluidity of the autofocus is insane. Sometimes I let the autofocus do it's job because it keeps up with my moving subjects better than I can. However, if you want to use manual then the autofocus wheel is as smooth as butter. I will be purchasing nothing but Sigma ART lenses from now on. In my opinion they are better than canon lenses, and CHEAPER. Can't beat that. I bought this lens to go with a brand new Canon 90D. The quality is great, autofocus is good enough to follow my 2yo running around and when it does go out of focus it actually makes the footage feel more organic and that's what I'm going for. It's a pleasure to use, the rings feel great to the touch and MF is very precise. I am overall very pleased with the quality of the lens. The other stuff is mostly things I already had, but if you want this lens, I suggest getting this kit in case you ever need the dock to update the firmware. ... show more

This is a really great bundle. I did an unboxing of this bundle on my YouTube Channel, Jollyroger Hobbies. Price 👍🏾 Quality 👍🏾 The only con I have is I had the calibrate the lens to auto focus properly. So that’s something to keep in mind. It’s a very annoying and tedious process. I did it myself for the first time. You can also take it to a camera store or sigma. Overall awesome lens can’t wait to start shooting. FYI,I would suggest taking pictures before you start to calibrate your lens to see if you have an auto focus issue. Hence, why I had to. I also posted the difference before calibration ( the black and grey cat) and after I calibrated ( the white cat). ... show more

    • Perfect for filming!
I love this lens when it comes to making short films and related filming content. I wouldn’t consider this my go-go for photography because I don’t think it’s as sharp as my Sigma 50mm F/1.4! But I highly recommend this for all my fellow videographers and content creators!

The quality picture is unbelievable with the price of it. Focus is accuracy each time of it perform with my LUMIX G9. A little noise when it perform in auto focus but ok to me for tasking picture or filming by using Wireless microphone
