I’m new to shooting but have grown found of Sig optics. I have Romeo X Pro on my Glock 19 where it sits nice and low and comes in a 6MOA. Naturally for my first riffle I came back to Sig. Romeo 8T AMR is a great multi reticle optic with the Juliet magic trick. No need for a giant scope or maybe trying to pair up a magnifier on your own. Perfect for close to mid range which is my use case. Truthfully I don’t have the opportunity to go much beyond 100y and my eyes are pretty shot. 3x is just right and for near in practice 8T feels plenty large. Shake awake is a must. I love the enclosed boxy design and clean aesthetics. Form and function. Buy once cry once sort of price situation. The only thing I could ask for is a slightly larger dot. It seems to help with astigmatism and it’s already a multi system. ... show more

    • Red dot magnifier combo
The red dot is great. Has a large field of vision and easy to find the red dot. Have not really used the magnifier yet but did notice that it does dim the red dot when using both. Which is a nice feature.

Its good but the eye relieve on the magnifier is too short. Makes me get too close to the and messes with the handling.

    • The Juliet 3T in this combo is not ideal for taller folks on AR15s
I like the Romeo 8T and I think the dynamically changing reticle is a really neat feature, but I am not a fan of the Juliet 3T on an AR15. The eye relief of the Juliet 3T is short, so your eye has to be really close to it to see the full picture through it. That might be fine if you are a short king, but for vertically gifted folks, it causes some issues specifically on the AR15 platform. First, you have to have it all the way on the back of your rail, which means if you were thinking about running some backup iron sights behind your magnifier, think again. Second, with your stock properly adjusted for your length of pull, it's impossible to get your eye inside the eye box unless you really crane your neck forward. Don't want a sore neck? Then you have to shorten your stock, but then your length of pull is all messed up. So personally, as a 6ft tall person, I would not choose to run this setup on an AR. I would, however, run it on something more compact like a Springfield Hellion or a Steyr Aug. I think that speaks to the Juliet 3T's strengths, which include the cool dynamically changing reticle, the build quality, and warranty. I find it interesting that all the influencers that reviewed this combo didn't mention such an obvious limitation since almost all of them tested it on some kind of AR. --- Update: You can use a cantilever picatinny rail extension like the one below to get the whole setup further back AND make room for some offset BUIS underneath (Strike Industries Sidewinder II). Of course you will be messing with the optic height some, and you are adding weight. I decided to spring for something better and go with the LaRue Tactical Picatinny Riser with QD Lever.
