I’ve had two of the Romeo 5 gen 1 and they were stellar for what they were. Beaters on not main things but they struck way above the value for money. The gen 2 are no different. I have 2 elites and this one. Glass quality improved, housing improved. Clicks on adjustment improved and overall mounting equipment as well. I have a pretty good astigmatism and this along with aim point and PA all have been great with this one edging the PA as less of a burst effect. Plenty bright in the day have not tested under Nv but they offer at least the two settings. Great optic for price!

I have a 4T and wanted to see the difference between cheaper models. Pros: build quality feels just as good. The Romeo 5 feels good and robust in the hand. Having the Motac feature is also nice at this price point. Also, nice mounting options included. Looks a lot like a reptilia mount and it’s free. Cons: honestly just the glass quality and reticle clarity. With the 4T the dot is crispy and nice. The Romeo 5 is a legitimate starburst of squiggles with no defined center point at usable brightness. There’s also more hue in the glass. The 4T is very clear regardless of which reticle you use. It’s a good buy, but know what you’re giving up.

I like this optic, but the mount it comes with is too low for me. The AR15 mount for this sight is absolute co-witness height, which I believe is 1.41 inches high to the center of the optic. This height is usable, but I have to use a careful target style cheek weld to get a good sight picture. Most dot sights use a bottom third co-witness height which is 1.6 to 1.7 inches high. That height gives a slightly higher head position that I think is faster and more comfortable for shooting quickly. I had trouble deciding how many stars for this review. It is a decent optic with a usable mount, so I considered four stars. But I will need to replace the mount, and that will make my overall cost more than I planned.

There are a lot of reviews on this already. I have found this to be a solid, good performing, reasonably priced optic. I prefer the green dot. I currently have 5 rifles and SBRs. Each has their dedicated optic. I am using this on all close to medium range weapons. I also pare this with the Juliet5 magnifier.
