I have been a Gunsmith for 44 years and have mounted more RMR type sights than I can remember. The Sig ROMEOzero was very straight forward in its mounting. It was mounted on a Glock 27, .40 S&W utilizing a dovetail mounting plate. The majority of these sights are metal but the ROMEOzero is a polymer housing. This particular mounting was for my personal EDC firearm and I can honestly say I have mounted more different brands than I can remember. I chose the Sig because I wanted a sight that was small but still presented an excellent sight picture. The instructions from Sig were well written and would serve a shooter who has never mounted this type of sight. Of note and great importance is the warning of not to over tighten he mounting screws because it could deform the polymer and cause the sight to malfunction. My first observations were the automatic waking of the sight with the slightest movement. Yes, this is going to cause the sight to be on with the daily movements but off whenever the firearm is still. The presentation of the red dot is very impressive when bringing the firearm up to the shooting position. I found that I needed to bring the intensity of the red dot down to mid level of brightness. Doing so gave excellent presentation in bright sunlight as well as total darkness. I urge the shooter to experiment with this to find what works best for them. Range time revealed the need for sight adjustment. Shooting at a 7 yard distance I fount he elevation to be perfect but I did need to adjust windage to the right. The adjustment screws are well defined with arrows indicating direction of travel. They are also pronounced with a solid felt click for each moment of travel. After adjustments over 50 rounds were fired with the sight holding perfectly. All screws were checked for problems and none found. I am also an NRA pistol instructor and Training Counselor and would urge anyone to consider this sight or one like it for defensive shooting. It gives the shooter faster sight acquisition and far better grouping than standard “iron sights”. Lastly I paid for this and have not been compensated in any way. Be SAFE…..Shoot WELL

Awesome sight for my Shield Plus and P365. Its made of polymer and matches the stipiling on the P365. It comes with a metal cover or guard that gives you more durability and protection from a fall or everyday use. It's compact and fits subcompact pistols well and is ideal for concealed carry. Installation was easy for both pistols and I didn't have to modify or buy an adapter plate. It bolted right up and was easy to adjust. If you have a Sheild Plus or P365, this is the best sight for the money.

Got this to put on a Sig P365XL and so far happy. Battery replacement will be a slight pain since you will need to remove the slide, then unscrew the optic to get to the battery location. The MOTAC feature is nice but I would have liked the auto bright/dim feature but for the money Im not going to complain. The dimmer button is sort of an odd place but I use the medium brightness settings so its good enough for day but not too bright at night. MOTAC Auto On/Off feature seems to work very well but is very sensitive to movement. Just touching the firearm will auto on. As for battery life, time will tell. What the description doesnt say is while yes its a polymer frame, it does also include a metal frame that the red dot will slide into before mounting then mounts all as 1 piece. So it does give some more added protection. Whats also nice is unless you look very close you cant tell its there. Each side of the metal frame does have Sigs logo. It also doesnt really add any weight thats noticeable either.

I mounted this on a Kel Tec P17 with a PLA printed mounting plate. Everything fits nicely inside the P17 slide width, no hangover. Pistol ran perfectly, the sight is very lightweight, especially when mounted without the optional steel protective case. Shake awake works perfectly, easily zeroed and brightness adjusted to present a smaller dot. I am using this for target shooting for the moment so the smallest/dimmest dot works very well. This is the second one I purchased, the other is on a PMR 30 also working well. I wouldn't hesitate to order again.

As of now this is the worst red dot I've ever encountered. The polymer body is soft as it's the heads on the supplied screws. I mounted 2 holosun sights at the same time I tried to mount this Sig red dot. Screw heads stripped under less than the required 9 inch pounds of torque. As of now a replacement screw is stuck inside of the red dot unit from the polymer body giving away under about 6 to 7 inch pounds of torque and the screw head sinking down into it. Since the unit is inside the metal protection cover you can't even get the red dot out of the cover because of the screw sticking through the metal covers hole. Keep in mind this isn't my first time mounting a red dot. I have zero problems with the Holosuns. I think this could have all been prevented with quality screws being supplied in the first place. With maybe a couple of extra screws supplied from the factory. If you're going to have soft screw heads and a soft polymer body you've got to expect problems. I wish I could give a glowing review but unfortunately I can't. It took me over a month to get around to mounting this so it's well outside of the Amazon's return limit. Will see if the seller understands and replaces this with another unit. If so and it goes well I'll update. I wish I could give zero stars, or even negative stars lol. But that's not an option. Give yourself a break and just don't order a cheap polymer body red dot with weak soft screws. You'll thank yourself every time you remember you didn't buy junk. Regardless of who's name is on it. The 2 Holosuns mounted just fine and I wish this Sig did to, but it didn't. 10/10 do not recommend this product at this time. Even if I get a replacement I wouldn't order this on purpose ever again. I will however think much more of the seller if this happens.

I put this on a Kel-Tec P17 and it worked. However I thought it was difficult to see the red dot. I got new batteries and it was still hard to see. I found that it could just be eyesight. Green is better for people with glasses or astigmatism. I still plan to use this on a different pistol. It did have some movement and did need to be readjusted. With the laser not staying true, I can still recommend this product. I was able to land shots using JUST the optic. Despite the difficulties seeing the red dot.

Edit #2. I'm still using this on EDC but after a cleaning with compressed air the dot has become a vertical line. I'll be ordering something else soon. Don't use this RDS for your EDC unless you work in a clean room and keep a different tool on you while you're at home. Edit; This sight has more or less reached the end of it's life after a little less than a year of daily carry. The plastic lens is so friggin soft that anything and everything that touches it leaves a scratch. Nearly the entire lens lights up red now. It's still useable but I think this sight is best saved for guns that will only be taken out of the case at the range. Aside from the scratching/clouding problem, it's a great sight. I'm still using the factory battery, on about 1/3 brightness level so that's perfectly fine. You do have to screw it in from underneath but the screws and holes are very high quality so don't get too concerned with this. This thing holds zero very well and that's worth the trade off of a tiny bit of time it takes to mount it. You won't need to rezero it unless you are a professional marksman. The reason I'll never buy another one is the quality of the plastic reflective lens. It is soft, even for plastic. It scratches super easy. If you're going to carry this RDS you will need to accept some scratches. It's been reliable and for the price it's a good deal. Even though it's going to get scratches you can replace it after a couple years without too much pain.

Awesome little red dot! It's the perfect size to continue using my P365X as my EDC without digging into my skin. It comes with a protective steel "cage" which overall doesn't add too much of an increase in size while giving me not only piece of mind for bumps and bangs, but allows for a more secure purchase on the slide. The cage does hang off the edges on the slide, but it's such a small amount that it doesn't create issue. The sight also has a built in rear sight so you can have a backup standard sight in conjunction with the front sight, in case your battery dies. Adjustment is simple and easily achieved. There is a rubberized button towards the inside of the glass that allows you to adjust the brightness to 8 different settings, or press and hold for 2 seconds to turn off the motion activation. Pros: -Easy to install -Feels sturdy -Allows for better purchase on slide -Motion activated -Built in rear sight for backup -Simple to adjust MOA and brightness -Still allows for concealed carry -Looks good Cons: -Have to remove sight from slide to change battery -Have to recenter dot after every battery change -Hangs off the edge of slide with or without protective "cage" -Have to purchase specific button cell batteries every now and then (wish it was rechargeable so I could just plug it in after my weekly clean) Overall: Awesome little red dot that enables an easier sight picture without compromising EDC capabilities. Super simple and straight forward installation and operation. Great quality for the price. If you're in the market for a micro red dot for your SIG, look no further!
