Description

The Sierra Comfort Premium Wide Portable Massage Table (SC-601) is our premier portable massage table. The 30” wide tabletop coupled with 3” of high-density foam allows for additional surface area and comfort. The beech hardwood frame provides durability, while remaining lightweight and portable. The double support wires and threaded support bars add stability to the frame. The adjustable table height includes 9-points of adjustment, ranging from 25.5” to 33.5”. The table conveniently folds in half to allow for easy transport and mobility. Included are an adjustable face cradle and face pillow. The SC-601 is a perfect solution to fulfilling your basic massage therapy needs.

I just started practicing Reiki and needed something for my clients. This table was nicer than I expected. It has a lot of additions that some of the other tables offered. I may not use some of them, but it was nice to have them with the original table and not have to purchase separately later. The table was easy to set up and it folds down nicely. I've not used the bag yet but I have had to close the table and move it out of the room. It is very light and easy to manage. Great price. Only downside is that you'll have to use the face rest attachment if you have someone that is over 6 foot tall. I did get away with using it without for my husband that is 6'3" but his feet were off the end. The bolsters helped so it wasn't like he was hanging off. I do think the face attachment would hold someone's head laying face up in a pinch. Great table, great quality and great price! ... show more

    • Great for cracking some bodies! (Great table for OMM)
Great table for a great price. I bought this table to practice OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) on and it's been perfect for it. The table feels absolutely solid, is really well built, and easy to use. It's really light as well, and comes with a bunch of accessories that I'll never use, but I imagine a massage therapist would definitely be using for their clients. I haven't started learning HVLA techniques yet, so I can't really comment on this table's use for that (yeah my title isn't so accurate), but I think it'll work well for HVLA as well. The table is moderately firm, but comfortable enough to sleep on (my wife tends to fall asleep while I'm practicing). Even if the table ends up being too soft, I've discussed this issue with my professors and they say you can just put your hand in a fist or find other ways to accommodate. Update: We started doing HVLA techniques and while this table is a little softer than the ones we use at school, I can still perform the techniques without any issues. ... show more

DO NOT let the price keep you from buying this table. I have been doing massage since 1989 and have used tables costing much more that were of no better quality than this. As usual, Amazon's shipping was fast. I got the within a week of placing the order and would have gotten it a day earlier, but missed the UPS guy by a few mintues. UPS problem, not Amazon (UPS wouldn't leave it without a signature). The table was just as advertised with no vinyl like I hear of some tables. It was easy to set up.... just unsnap the luggage type latches with the table on it's side and pop it open and stand it up. I injured my left shoulder some time ago and have some strength lose, but have no problem lifting the table in the bag. If you are going to move it far or up and down stairs often, I would get a luggage carrier for it. (That also makes it easier to go through doors.) Being fairly short, I find the lowest setting perfect with an average to large person on it. The only thing I did not care for is that the face cradle could be designed a little better, but that is replaceable if desired. Most importantly, the table is very stable and comfortable. All in all, it is at least as well built and as light as my last table and cost was way less. ... show more

I like that this table came with the accessories. The bolsters, the extensions for when I have clients who are broader in the shoulder area and the face cradle are all nice additions. So far I have had no problems with heavier clients (300Lbs+) and I like that the height is adjustable since I am quite tall myself (6'2") and after a full day of massaging clients, sometimes my back is really sore from bending at the waist so much. The construction seems to be fairly sturdy. My only issue is that the aluminum tubing that is used for the shoulder extensions is pretty flimsy and after massaging a fairly large client, one of them is already bent. It's not something that rendered the table unusable, but it does speak to the fact that this is a fairly in-expensive construction. It is a bit narrower than most standard tables, which is only an issue when I have really large clients on the table. A couple of my clients have mentioned that the table seems small. Also, there is what I am assuming is a built in face cradle for really short or clients of a smaller build that has a foam plug that falls out every time I am massaging someone. This is a minor inconvenience but it is kind of annoying even though it doesn't affect the quality of the massage. Other than those few issues, I am really happy with this table and it's working great so far and it's a good deal for the price you are paying. One note, because it's vinyl, there is a LOT of off-gassing that occurs when you first unpack it. If you have any clients or if you yourself are sensitive to chemicals, then you should definitely leave the table open and set up in a well ventilated area for 24 hours before you use it. The vinyl texture is quite nice though and has a very soft feel to it...clean up is super easy and the set up and take down takes very little time.
