In the past 16 years I’ve owned about 4 different towel warmers for my work. (Massage Therapist). This one doesn’t get as warm as previous warmers. It has two shelves which is kind of nice to keep things separated. There is an odor but I assume with time that will dissipate. Removing one star just because of the heating factor. So far, so good. Towels get very warm. Easy to setup, simple functions. BUT the UV light emits a VERY strong plasticky smell. I'm hoping it'll fade with time, but it's not too much of a nuisance...just an FYI!

The only thing I like about this warmer is the 2 shelves. It takes over an hour to heat up towels for massage use. I have to microwave my first clients towels so that they will be hot. The rest eventually get hot. The size towels therapists use, hand towel size, do not fit well. You can see the bottom row isn't able to sit flat so I can't put a second row of towels. The top I use for a heat pack normally. A trick I've used is to lay the towels flat instead of rolled to heat quicker but in this unit, that doesn't necessarily work. Slow heating. I arrive an hour or more before my first client, towels should be able to get hot enough by then! ... show more

I like the size, and it holds heat nicely, but THE SMELL IS HORRIBLE. Oh my gosh. I’ve had it for weeks now, I’ve put so much lavender oil on a towel and sprayed stuff inside and the weird smell just won’t go away. The only way I can explain the smell is like BO, but obviously it’s not that. It sucks for what I do, which is facials. I don’t know what it is but I wouldn’t buy this one again. ... show more
