Having tried other solar lights for my porch deck posts, they usually were poorly made or assembled poorly, they had poor lighting, or had very poor solar capabilities. I decided to give Siedlinlar's lights a shot and I was unexpectedly surprised. To start off, they were packaged very neatly. It came with 3 different base mounts, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6. I needed the 4x4. It also came with the screws and instructions which were easy to read and install. Installation was a breeze, very beginner friendly. Once you install the mount you just get the light and lock the top with it. The lights themselves seem of quality material, it doesn't feel cheap at all and the solar capabilities have so far worked well. I've had these through heavy rain storms, cloudy and extremely hot weather (95+F) and they have held up very well. The plastic doesn't feel brittle at all, it hasn't broken or splintered or cracked like a few other brands i've had to purchase. The lighting itself is very decent, it's enough to light up the area around the post lightly, as in not too bright but not too dark. Personally, it fit for what I was looking for. I've used the warm lighting rather than the cool lighting because warm seems to stand out more. The solar charge lasts until the early morning on a sunny day, a little before on a cloudy day. I would honestly recommend this to anyone looking into a nice quality and fairly priced solar post lights. I'd like to add that I contacted customer service and they answer all questions without hassle and quick.Very courteous and helpful team they have at Siedlinlar. Just installed 6 of these and they were easier to install than I thought they wold be. They come with a flat plate interface for 6", 5", and 4" posts. When you first open them it appears as though there are plates for only 5" and 6". It wasn't until I checked after dark to find they weren't illuminating very well that I noticed the 4" plates were hidden inside the light. Once I removed the hidden plates they turned out to be pretty bright. They are easy to install and seem to hold up well. Not sure how well they'll hold up in high winds or rain, and we'll see how long they last. So far, no complaints. ... show more

Easy to assemble. 3 base sizes for different posts. Fairly bright light or a solar type lawn light. Stay lit dusk till dawn. A little light weight. Hail will probably get them. But till then I bet they do just fine. Really like them!

Love these solar light caps for my deck rails!! After my deck was installed I instantly realized it was a mistake not to incorporate lighting, so I needed something solar powered and easy to install. These are perfect! My posts are 4”, so the 4” base fit perfectly. There were also 5” and 6” bases included if you need those. I love that it has two color choices… I went with soft white to match my other lighting. The pics make it look really bright, but it’s not… it gives off the perfect amount of light and ambiance. I haven’t screwed them into the post yet so for not they are just resting on the posts. I’m not worried about them blowing away or getting knocked over bc they fit pretty snug as is. Super easy set up and install. They’re a great value and instantly did exactly what I needed. I also have 6 more down the long set of stairs to the pool area but didn’t get a pic of that. I only used them on the stair rail posts… I didn’t want a dozen lights across the top of the deck and I think it looks perfect as is. Hope this helps! ... show more
