I have used the red metal Chapin cans for 40 years. Pumping them up every few minutes, wearing me out along with the metal top that keeps the handle in place. I carried the red can down the fence lines of the property for 20 years. The red cans are gone now. This pump is easier to carry on my back, has a consistent spray EVERY time you pull the trigger. ( unlike the hand pump Chapin ) and is far more consistent and efficient spraying the $50.00 a gallon weed killer and $30 a gallon fertilizer. I’m estatic! Very good product for the price. Exceeded every expectation that I had for it. Comes with a battery that you can interchange with dewalt tools. Having 5 gallons in it makes it pretty heavy, but the straps are nice and cushioned, and it has a cushioned back. Very comfortable. Comes with a nice variety of nozzles. Cut my spraying time in half if not more. Highly recommend this sprayer. It is very easy to use, and it is durable but yet the price is cheap. It also has a pressure regulator so you can change the spray power. ... show more

I am a weed scientist and spray lot of things for a living. Worked great 1st time when spraying my yard. 2nd time took it to my farm to spot spray large acreage for thistle. Within 30 seconds of spraying, the sprayer started spraying chemical out of the pump and soaked my back and legs. Luckily I was able to rinse off chemical quickly and was wearing correct PPE. After dumping out all of chemical on the ground and taking apart, I realized that the hose connecting to the pump and to the spray hose were improperly connected and causing damage to the hose and improper seal (see picture of internal pump). I now have a completely contaminated sprayer, battery, and entire setup. See video to see what happened...... Will update review if customer service gets back to me, but wanted to warm people before putting themselves in danger. ... show more
