The product being reviewed is described by various users as both effective and disappointing. While some users find these pumps great for tasks like spraying farm chemicals, roof cleaning, and pressure washing, citing their power and ability to handle caustic chemicals with proper rinsing, others express dissatisfaction with their durability and quality over time. The longevity of the pumps seems to be a significant issue, with some pumps failing within a year or even five weeks, despite the manufacturer's reputation for producing lasting products.

Should I Buy It?

Considering the mixed reviews, purchasing this pump depends on your willingness to maintain it rigorously and your tolerance for the possibility of needing to replace it sooner than expected. If you're using it for professional purposes and it quickly pays itself off, it might be worth the investment. However, for those seeking longevity and reliability above all, exploring other options could be advisable.

  • Has great reviews
Size: 5.5 GPM Style: FNPT Ports
I spent the extra money for a quality pump and this was a huge disappointment. It did work as advertised and I sure did like it, but it made it just over a year and it quit. It no longer works at all and I'm having to replace it. I use these a lot. We spray farm chemicals with them weekly. We do take good care of them but we do use them a lot. I expected this pump to last for at the least several years for the price, but it only lasted about a year. I can buy cheaap pumps with the same GPM and pressure for 1/3 the cost and they last longer. I do not believe I got a good value for my money. ... show more

Works well with softwash setup

  • Total Junk!
Size: 5.5 GPM Style: FNPT Ports
Purchased this and did everything possible to use it as a soft wash pump. I can only use long range tips, not fan tips. The stream when first purchased was pulsating. It's suggested to turn the psi screw. This was adjusted and it worked fine for about 45 minutes, then nothing. I have used a 12v group 24 battery, that sucked. I used a 16.7 12v waterproof charger, it was a bit better. The pump stopped working in the middle of my job and I noticed the pump would not kick on. I checked the pressure switch and it was faulty plus I noticed a crack in the plastic housing, complete junk. The power switch is supposed to push out when the pump lacks the correct pressure and then push in to stop pump when pump is not in use or has adequate pressure. The switch is not closing the circuit. After releasing pressure it takes 10 sec to kick on, so a faulty switch too. The screw can't be turned any tighter for pump operation frequency without striping or falling into the housing. The whole power switch and housing for turning the pump on and off seem like complete plastic junk. ... show more

  • This pump is backed by a great manucaturer!
Size: 5.5 GPM Style: FNPT Ports
My previous review was not rosy because the new pump failed to start! Unfortunately Amazon return timeline expired already! Fortunately the manufacturer in Minnesota โ€œValley Industriesโ€ was incredibly kind. Thank you Mary! They sent me a new pump in 2 days because the pump was still under warranty. So have no fear the folks at Vally industries will be there for you. ... show more

  • Lasted about 14 months
Size: 5.5 GPM Style: FNPT Ports
I used the pump about once a week for the last 14 months, spraying about 80 gallons of water each time. The pump is fairly quiet, easy to use, and provided great pressure for what I needed. Last week, the pressure switch broke which caused the pump to continuously run and a build up pressure in the line. Everflo sells replacement pump head kits for $60, and other companies sell replacement pressure switches, but we opted to purchase a brand new pump and keep the old one for spare parts. ... show more

  • Dud
Size: 5.5 GPM Style: FNPT Ports
Well I usually order ahead of time to keep a spare in my truck. When I got it I found it to be pretty dirty but I didnโ€™t think much of it. I went to install it yesterday and it had a crack at the fitting connection and my heart sank because I realized I was passed the return window. Not sure why I was sent a dud but Iโ€™ll never order through this source again if this is the type of quality control they have. ... show more

Have used these pumps before and are a great product. This one however, arrived damaged as if someone had returned it after breaking it and then got shipped to me. Check your pump out when you get it.
