  • Great purchase for homeowner with a large lot
Size: Turbo Fogger
I own a home on a 4 acre lot that is mostly wooded and have all the bugs that come along with it. I hired a pest control company to spray for mosquitos once every quarter, but soon figured out that wasn't nearly enough to allow us to be outside and use the pool in the backyard without getting eaten alive. So, I purchased this fogger after a lot of research, and I'm glad I did. The fogger was easy to put together, is easy to use and has made a big difference in the number of mosquitos in our yard. One tip that I read from another review: to avoid leakage, buy some screw-type hose clamps to use in place of the ones that come with the unit because you tighten them down easily. After using the fogger a few times, I've learned that it starts more easily if I barely have the choke on. It generally won't start if I have the full choke on. After it starts, turn the choke off and let the engine run for a minute or two to warm up, otherwise operating the trigger causes the engine to bog down until I release the trigger. But it works like a champ after the engine is warm. One other tip, I generally use a mixture of bifen and an IGR in the tank and have found it works better if I pre-mix the two actives with water in a 5-gallon bucket using a paint stirrer on my drill. The first few times I used it, I tried pouring the two actives in the tank and adding water, but it they didn't mix well. I've also used the unit as a leaf blower a few times after removing the impeller at the end of the air tube. I've never owned a backpack blower before, so can't compare, but this works well for me in blowing leaves and pine needles off my grass. I'd buy this unit again in a heartbeat because it's easy to use and let's me spray my own yard when it's needed at fraction of the price I was paying a pest control company to spray a few times a year. One season and the unit has already paid for itself. ... show more

  • Strong blower and works without flaw
Size: Turbo Fogger
Incredible blower! Simple 5 mins to put the arm piece on. Everything else was assembled already. I haven’t even used to sprayer function bc I bought this in October in Chicago. So just needed to blow the leaves. Can’t wait to spray the bushes out back in the spring to kill these mosquitoes and pests. ... show more

  • Good heavy duty fogger but needs better instructions
Size: Turbo Fogger
First of all, I like that it’s made in the United States. It seems well made and works just like a landscaper’s backpack blower. Yes it’s heavy but not unexpected for a commercial grade blower (I’ve been a landscaper in years gone by). If you don’t have a strong back, fill it up on a workbench to facilitate slipping on the shoulder straps. Being that it’s made in the US, I expected better directions. It comes with minimal assembly instructions but not so much for operation. For instance, there’s a rubber stopper and a plastic switch on the elbow that wasn’t mentioned anywhere online or in the brief directions. I emailed Tomahawk and they told me it’s for a dusting attachment For fogging, I set the flow dial to 1 and it seems to work fine, with 2 gallons of mix covering mine and 3 neighbors front and back yards. I used a permethrin product and the mosquitoes have been gone for a week now. Hopefully it will continue to work well for a long time. So far I’m happy with it. Better instructions would have gotten 5 stars. ... show more

  • Wonderful product
Size: Turbo Fogger
Product arrived in timely fashion. It was very easy to set up and get started. The fogging/spraying mechanism sprays a very good distance making it easy to get up into the leaves of trees. My home is situated within dense forest and one spray application covered so well I have noticed almost know pests. It is a bit heavy one fully loaded so that must be taken into consideration if you are doing unstable or large areas it can become difficult. ... show more

  • Terrible piece of equipment.
Size: Turbo Fogger
I purchased this unit as a back up to my Stihl unit. I unboxedthe blower and my first impression was it's small, and looks pretty basic. The quality was not great. Looking through the manual it suggests if it doesn't run good to turn the carb adjuster until it runs good. So after reading the manual and assembling the unit, I fuel it up and attempt to start it. After priming and choking and pulling 11 times it starts. It took a long time to run smooth, but then after hitting the trigger and letting go it died. I got it restarted and adjusted the carb as described in the manual. Its a balance of a lag when you hit the throttle vs a smooth top end. I couldn't get both. So I put in water to see what it would do. It does not blow 40 feet, 23 was the best I could get, while spraying the water I bent over and found out the lid leaks, a lot. So I took the lid off and adjusted the seal and tried again, still leaking. I took it back apart and returned the unit. Maybe I got a turd maybe its junk I don't know. I did buy the Stihl sr200 and its specs are less than this unit but it out preformed the tomahawk in distance and how fine of a spray you can get. The tomahawks mist is very course vs other units. So to recap the quality, the function and the prefomance are all pretty low compared to the Stihl unit's I have used. I use sprayers commercially and don't feel comfortable putting this unit on a truck.for.daily use. ... show more
