**UPDATE** 2nd season in the books and still as good as the day I bought it. Just be sure at the end of the season not to let it sit with fuel in it or liquid in the fogger tank. Basic maintenance like this will keep the machine running like a champ! Game changer. My house sits on 12 wooded acres of land with creeks and pockets of water. Mosquitoes have always been a nightmare. This year was the worst to date, you couldn't even go outside for a second without being completely dismantled. I got a quote for the remainder of the season to have a company come spray and it was just shy of $800 so I figured why not try this and do it myself. To be honest, I'm a Stihl guy as the equipment is so darn reliable but along with that, it is expensive so I decided to give this a go. To those that say the instructions are lacking, confusing, etc, you should just hire a service. I opened the box, laid the parts out and common sense kicked in. Part B goes on part A, tighten clamp. Attach throttle to part C, find single screw in bag, put bent hose on, put on the misting end, attach 1 clear hose, done. To the reviewers that said "this thing leaked all over my back", learn how to properly push on a hose and put the clamp on. It does not leak unless you do something wrong, that simple. To those that had some kind of mechanical issue with the motor, I can't speak to that. Things happen. Mix your fuel properly and like any 2-stroke it should just last forever. If you leave fuel in it for a year and expect it to work when you need it, it won't but that's on you. Some carburetors need to be adjusted for elevation, it's an easy thing to do. This thing worked perfectly right out of the box, I am in Michigan. As for chems -- in the past I have always used Talstar P and been happy with a handheld pump sprayer. Talked to a commercial guy over the weekend that said "Demand CS is the bomb". Went out on a limb and bought a bottle. 32oz for $130-something, steep. Whoa. Sprayed my place this evening at 630 and I feel like Connor McGregor himself came and knocked every mosquito out cold. Before that I was getting kamikaze bombers into my retina before I could run out and grab my latest Amazon package from the porch. It's 923pm EST and my wife and I have been sitting out on the deck enjoying a completely bug free life, yes, that fast. Should I have longevity issues with the actual equipment I promise I'll update this review but from what I experienced initially, today was worth the $399 for this piece of kit. Happy guy living in the woods. ... show more

  • Functional and effective
Size: Turbo Fogger
This is a low cost machine. No frills and lowest cost construction. But it works very well and looks as though it will last if cared for properly. The instructions are minimal but if followed, are functional. The plastic and the construction all feel like the engineers were building the minimum for the lowest cost point. HOWEVER: it works very well. First job was to spray my orchard with Bordeaux spray. You'll have to experiment with the spray pattern and the flow rate controls to get what you want. No guidance. But after a couple of trial and errors I found what worked for me and spraying the entire orchard was very fast and very efficient. So: overall I am very glad I got this machine as it will make my life easier. I haven't tried it as a blower yet. The guide says to keep some water in the tank to stop the pump overheating. And there's no clear instruction how to apply powder. So the elementary instructions and cheap plastic fittings are the negatives. While overall functionality and low cost for what you get are absolute positives. ... show more

  • Used for 2 seasons now - no issues, continues to work well
Size: Turbo Fogger
Purchased this backpack fogger unit in April of 2021 and have used it for 2 Spring/Summer mosquito spraying seasons thus far to cover a ~2 acre backyard. It has performed extremely well, has started right up each time and is easy to use (haven't had to change the spark plug yet). With the tank filled, it does get a bit heavy but that is to be expected. The only small compliant I have - and it may just be me, having to fiddle with the choke control to ensure it's in the right position (pretty sensitive) after start up as to when you pull the trigger throttle the whole way, the engine may not run smooth if not in the right position - sometimes if too low, the engine will stall or too much choke the engine will not RPM correctly and just sputter - so finding that right choke setting before putting the backpack on key. I'm also assuming this is not isolated to this particular fogger, but when spraying with water control fully open at max (i.e. #4 setting) - you will run out of liquid spray rather fast. The control you have over the amount of liquid released is good (1-4 : low-high) as well as the spray coverage and distance. Overall so far very happy with this fogger and would recommend it. Next fall season here in New England, I might try and use it as a leaf blower to see how it compares to my Echo backpack blower that I've had and used for many years... ... show more

  • Wow WoW WOW! This Tomahawk Fogger, leaf blower is absolutely AWESOME!!! So is Customer Service!!!!
Size: Turbo Fogger
My home is built on wetlands acreage in Florida. Even though we pay mosquito control in our taxes they are the most worthless, untrained, non caring, we don't care group we have ever witnessed. That said our problem was nothing shy of horrific for 5 years of complaining and trying everything ourselves including local pest control who charge astronomical don't show up and when they do are not thorough and god knows if they were using watered down lemonade for spray because it did nothing! I bought this unit put it together in minutes, had a quick question and called the supplied 800 number and to my pleasant surprise a well spoken woman answered the phone and answered my question in 5 seconds literally the call was under a minute, THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I put in 50:1 pre mix 2 stroke and used 1oz of Martins I.G. Regulator and 1oz of Permethrin SFR with 2 gallons of water all mixed together. The Tomahawk started up on the very first pull, I love all motors but can not remember a time I owned anything brand new out of the box that started up first pull, ever, what does that say....EXTREMELY WELL MADE FINELY TUNED & ENGINEERED! Upon completion of my very first spray there was not a single Mosquito, yellow fly, regular fly, carpenter ants, spiders, I mean nothing even after a week! How long total remains to be seen but I'm beyond ecstatic about everything this unit proved to be. At the same time I was able to blow off my driveway of pine straw and leaves, talk about multi tasking. Thank you Jacks small engines for selling a great unit and answering your phone right away, great company! ... show more
