I have had several pittie "breeds" now over the years and they have all been escape artists, total velcro dogs and have destroyed most kennels that you get at your pet supply store. This beast here however, while it takes up a ton of real estate at 48 inches long, it provides my dog plenty of space to stretch out, stand, turn around etc (60 lbs doggo in front of it to give you a better idea of the size). The wide slats on the bottom seem to be way more comfortable for his paws and while I still add a blanket or dog bed to the inside, if you are house-training a puppy it would be perfectly fine without any bedding! The big plastic pan underneath is also great and gives really easy access to clean everything. It was extremely easy to put together and the access to the top along with the wide front door is one of my favorite features. The kennel door itself also folds completely back against the rest of the kennel and holds itself in place there! Unlike the other kennel doors that easily swing shut and shut your puppy out from their safe space when they are roaming free! All the locking mechanisms feel very sturdy and neither of my 2 dogs has been able to break out of it. The option of adding wheels is also awesome but since my dog startles easily and only two of the wheels have a breaks on them and I didn't want him getting scared of the kennel so I have left them off for the time being and it is very sturdy this way too. The only downside I have noticed so far is that the normal kennel water/food bowls don't fit since the bars are flat and further apart. ... show more

My great pyramid has been able to destruct or escape every cage but this one. He always went in his cage with no problem because he knew he could escape but I have to drag & fight him to get him in here. I’ve learned if I put him butt first I can get him in. Not one time has he gotten out tho he scoots the cage around & can get his paw out to reach things to destroy just because he can. I love this jail cage! Ordered the Dog Cage and was easy to put together. I have a large German Shepard and he has more than plenty of room to stretch and walk around in. The locks are durable and best of all, my dog can’t reach and unlock the door due to how the locks are set up. Highly recommend! FYI Fedex might mix up your order…third time it has happened to me. This kennel is sturdy enough, however the brakes do not work well, they don’t hold the kennel in place. Our boxer weighs about 60 lbs and is a bit feisty so that may be the issue. This kennel would work better for a mellower dog.
