Many aspects of this crate are good; sturdy, nice looking, plastic is quality...however there is sadly No Quality Control as the units are shipped. A simple visual inspection by manufacturer of this $535 Crate would have saved me A TON of time and hassle. Handle is defective, unusable and not engineered properly as noted by others here. With a 46" crate you really need the handle (not to pick up you dog in it) but to move it around/get it in, a room, out of car, etc. Door hinge bent preventing door from closing and latching..the whole purpose of a travel crate. I wanted to love it but for over $500 not worth it. Sent back for refund. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We bought this so our german shepherd has enough room when he’s sleeping inside the crate. He even still use it now, once in a while he will take a nap in there. He can stand in there comfortably and even do a nice sitz inside with the added height extensions.

For the price, I would expect better.... The top handle wouldn't stay in place because someone had reamed out the holes in the lid, and the handle itself was bent outward on one side. Look at the photos: how did this get past quality control? I gave this 3 stars only because, when I called Pet Express directly and sent them the same photos, they agreed to send me a replacement orange upper piece with a proper handle. I haven't received it yet, but I'll take them at their word. Pretty disappointing, though, for a crate nearly twice the cost of a comparably sized crate from most other suppliers. YMMV. ... show more

We purchased the XL size for our 95 pound Rottweiler with a long tail. He had enough room to move around and sleep.
