  • Great plant
Color: Philodenron Brasil
Love this plant. It came full, healthy, and on time. I will definitely be buying from this company again because they take great care when sending their plants. The plant is continuing to thrive and grow. There were no dead leaves and the roots are healthy and strong.

  • Healthy plants, easy transfer, poor pot quality
Came beautifully wrapped, full and healthy. It’s my second day since they arrived. It was easy for me to separate them from the roots and transition into two separate pots per potted plants. I would have kept it together a bit longer in the pots they came in but I noticed the bottom of the pots were weak and breaking open as I was examining them before I did anything and I saw a few dead leaves that I clipped off before I did the transfer separating very gently since the leaves and vines of these plants intertwined and they were rooted all the way down to the bottom of the pots they came in. I will be updating on the success, death rate if any. Even with the transfer the look beautiful from leaf to root and so I consider this value for my money. So far this is looking like a good start and I will consider buying more but for now I’m going to be checking often for them. ... show more

  • Such a scam
Color: Pothos
I can't stress this enough...pull your plant out of the pot immediately to check for root rot! I will never buy a plant from this place again. Instead my recommendation is to buy from Costa Farms if you want to buy online but anyway, when I received my plant it looked spectacular! Full, lush, and green with exception of two yellow leaves. My thinking was I bought it online, of course they over watered it a bit, it has a long way to travel! I mean the packaging was secure and on top of that I get most of my plants online and that seems to be the practice. SO imagine my curiosity when a couple days later I notice a couple of more yellow leaves. Weird I thought but I pulled them and this time I accidentally pulled a leaf. A leave that was on a stem without a node shoved into the pot. If you are looking to propagate you need a node for a root to grow. Upon seeing this I of course brought it outside to inspect and was I in for a surprise, all the outside leafs on stems where simply shoved into the pot and all were without nodes. What that meant to me is a ploy to make it look more full than it was. Once I pulled them I got the whole plant out of the pot and the root rot!! I couldn't save it. I wanted to save it so I am propagating as much as I can but it is not promising. To recap, I got my plant that was safely secure and lush, beautiful, and green, I threw away the order paperwork. Please don't because they have a 24 hour policy but I tried anyway. I spent $25 for root rot but I am writing this review AFTER contacting them. Negotiations have been taking place for 3 days. I sent pictures and gave them a snapshot of my order information I got on Amazon. You know what I got for a response? That I purchased this plant from Costa Farms when I didn't? I checked and nope I purchased from them so that is how their customer service goes. In the end I took a chance by not buying from Costa Farms in which I have had so much luck and decided to try them. I won't again and I suggest you don't either. P.S. I have had to to replace one plant from Costa Farms (looking back it was completely my bad) and their customer service was superb. ... show more

  • Nice size plant for the money if most of the leaves didn’t have brown spots all over them.
Very nice sized plant but when it arrived most of the leaves had big brown spots on them. When I checked the roots it had root rot. It came packaged very well. I figured whoever shipped it.. watered it a little to much before shipping or it had been over watered. They gave me a full refund for the plant, so I plan to try them out again. Things happen, and shipping plants is risky. I gave them four stars because of the price, and size of the plant great deal for the money. ... show more

  • Not Sure It Will Survive! :-(
Color: Red
The media could not be loaded. This beautiful plant arrived in ROUGH condition. The soil was 100% dried out and substrate debris was strung about the box. Several large leaves were totally dead and crispy. One of the sections snapped in transit and it’s definitely on its way to a withering death.* Worse yet, sections of the roots were exposed. I included a video that shows exactly how it looked upon arrival. (The 1st picture shows it 2 days later.) *Marantas can’t be propagated by placing pieces in water (like Pothos and many philodendrons can), so the broken portion is a total loss. Positive Note: I really appreciate that the seller didn’t utilize any non-recylable materials for shipping. (The only reason why it’s not 1 star.) Most of the plants I’ve purchased off Amazon come with a gross amount of low quality plastic materials. I was able to place everything in the recycling bin. With this appreciation acknowledged, more could have been done with the existing materials to better protect this plant for its journey. The only packing material was a piece of thick kraft paper wrapped around the diameter of the entire plant, which didn't provide adequate protection, as evidenced by the broken section and strewn soil. Unboxing created a total mess on my dining room table. No effort was taken to cover the base of the pot in order to contain the soil in place. Some of the kraft paper and a little tape would have worked. A little more crumbled up paper around the sides would have minimized movement and likely prevented the snapped portion. (Kinda like packing a nice crystal lamp.) There was no “Live Plant” label on the outside. (This often seems to make a huge difference in how it’s handled by the shipping company, in my experience.) At this point, I would still consider this worthy of “3 Stars.” BUT.... Here’s the thing that REALLY drops it... Upon close inspection, it appears that this was recently potted up. It looks like 3-4 small plants were grouped together. (It was difficult to tell at first, since the soil was such a mess.) As marantas aren’t known for their high tolerance, I deliberately sought out a plant that was larger. When I buy a plant that’s 6”, I’m thinking it’s more established and therefore able to better tolerate the shock of shipping and transport. This plant appeared to be like this, as seen in the product listing photos, where it depicts a plant that’s mature enough to start self-propagating (take a look at the shoots coming off it in the listing pics). What I can’t stand is when there are several little plantlets shoved into a 6” diameter nursery pot and immediately shipped out to be sold as a full, mature specimen. In terms of survival odds, this is even worse that buying a 4” or even 2” plant online. While they’re smaller, at least their root systems aren’t disturbed right before traveling cross country. Now the plant has not only has to recover from shipping and acclimating to its new environment, it’s doing so very soon after being repotted! This is like setting it up to die... I’m trying my best to give it a chance of survival: Gradually increasing the light to bright indirect in front of an East facing window, keeping the humidity level over 60% with the help of a humidifier and watering it only with distilled water. 2 days in, I can’t tell if it’s going to make it. Depending upon its response, I may have to bag the plant up for a full blown rehab. ... show more
