I was a little confused by the size of the box when it arrived, but it made sense once I opened it. It is essentially two squares that you put side by side and then the screws to hold it together. Super easy to assemble. I think it was 12 screws in total. Relatively easy to move around due to the felt pads on the bottoms of the legs. It's a little low to the ground for my taste, but serves it's purpose well for the space that it's in. I'm sure it will get a lot of use over the years. Happy with purchase. ... show more

Bob the builder ain’t got NOTHING ON ME!! The way I put this couch together BY MYSELF had me strutting around high giving myself! They made it as easy as connecting legos. The size of it is amazing and I wasn’t it expecting it to be that comfy. It easily stains because it is very light skin but it’s sturdy and pretty to look at. I’m really happy with the Shintenchi futon sofa bed! The black velvet upholstery looks sleek and feels soft, instantly adding a modern touch to my space. It’s compact, but still very comfortable whether I’m lounging, sitting up to work, or reclining it flat for guests.     • It depends on use
As at the time of ordering, there were no reviews at all which scared me, but i really liked the corduroy and how wide the couch was so I took a chance. PROS: - Easy to install (I had help, but they did it fairly quickly) - wide and spacious - love the corduroy material - the cushions are not flat and uncomfortable. CONS - While the cushions are not flat, it’s not fluffy either, it has more of an inflated feel to it almost like it could pop. - there are no zippers on cushions so you can’t take them out and wash the fabrics (I think because the fillings are not actually cushion fillings), this concerns me because I’m not sure what to do of it gets dirty. Because it’s a really light beige (lighter than picture) I fear that spot cleaning will leave water marks, as opposed to just washing it as a whole. - The legs are very short which makes the couch low (can get leg risers or replacements, but at an extra cost not bargained for. - the legs in my ottoman do not align so it is shaky. - the back cushions are higher and longer than the back of the couch itself so if you don’t plan to rest it on a wall to hide that flaw, it will look very unpresentable. I considered returning because the cons were more than the pros but I didn’t want to go through the hassle, plus I already spent money to have it installed and purchasing matching corduroy pillows. ... show more

The couch is comfy, but I guess you get what you pay for!! It is very small and I am only 5'10" and I had to put extensions under all the legs or I was gonna have to practically get up off the floor.
