I like it a lot. I have chronic lower back pain that sometimes becomes more acute, like at present. This gadget does a good job of massaging my tight muscles and relieving the pain. Compared to a TENS (electric stim) unit I also have, I find this easier to use and probably more effective. The massager also offers a bit of heating if you want it. Not much, but it's good to have as an option. There are a number of different but similar small Shiatsu massagers out there. I chose this one largely because the on/off control switch is on the power cord, not the massager itself, which I think makes the on/off switch much easier to reach when the massager is resting between your lower back and a chair. That said, I wish they had put the control switch a bit further out on the power cord. It's still a bit awkward to use.

This was a good product in terms of functionality, heat, rotation, etc. In terms of design, I would only say that the on/off switch is in an awkward place. You pretty much are lying on top of it and have to twist around to turn it off/change rotation. As nice as this is, it died (the balls stopped rotating) in less than a year.

SO HAPPY I BOUGHT THIS ONE .I use a back massager a lot ...I got an expensive one as a gift ..eventually it stopped working .. I tried 2 and returned them .because you can lay flat on them .. This massager you get a deep massage and you can control the direction instead of it being automatic . And its my favorite color ! .. Great Quality .great Price

Works great message wise for different areas on the body. The heat is not as hot as I like it. I am use to inferred this is not that type of heat. However I was more interested in the deep tissue message to loosen up the neck. I did not want to spend crazy money either. Good product for me.

*Update: after about 2 months of heavy use with two users the unit is no longer functioning. What’s great: price, semi durable, can really work out knots with deep massage. What’s not: spacing of massage nubs, not really customizable, switch position and cord connection. For the price this massager is surprisingly good. I’ve had it about a month and it still works, despite heavy usage by my daughter and myself. It does seem to be slowing down a bit but I think my daughter is putting too much pressure on it. It is not really customizable though, as it only has two direction settings and you can’t control heat it’s just always on or at least it seems to be. Most of the time the heat seems to be off in one direction but a few times I think heat was on regardless of direction. Heat isn’t too intense though. You can’t change the intensity, speed or anything like that either. I think I saw some reviews that said it didn’t work from first day or broke quickly but I think some may just be a result of a design flaw that makes user error very likely. Switch is too close to the unit so it’s easy to accidentally hit the switch while using. It also has a two section cord with a connection port. This is because it comes with a standard plug in and a car lighter adapter. The connection for the segments is also pretty close to unit but lower than switch. Since nubs are spaced wide, this often means I have to turn the unit upside down which puts connection close to you and easily gets detached. The nubs themselves are very widely spaced. While this isn’t too bad on the back, it’s very difficult to use on the neck. I find I often have to position it closer to my vertebrates on one side then repeat on the other. Sometimes I even turn it diagonally because it tends to push on the base of my skull making the area sore. I also have to move it around when using on my back but once it’s in position it really gives great deep pressure and loosens knots well. And while I wouldn’t recommend trying this if you have had a chiropractic adjustment but if I put the nubs on one side of my spine and kind of lean a little into it I’ve been able to realign some of my vertebrae. I threw my back out a couple of weeks before getting it and it really helped along with using a tens unit usually after. I would recommend making sure you hydrate yourself well after using because deep tissue massage tends to make the muscles very sore afterwards if you are even a little dehydrated. I learned that the hard way years ago when I got my first professional massage. You will still feel a bit sore as the nubs are pretty hard. I recommend sitting up to use so you can control the pressure better. Overall despite its design flaws it’s a good deal for the price.
