This is one of the better Shiatsu massagers that I have tried because it's not super intense. It does a nice job of kneading and massaging, but it's not to the point where it's uncomfortable or painful. There are three speed levels; the highest level offers a very moderate pace of massage without being too fast to enjoy, and the two lower speeds are much slower and more gentle. There is also an option to have the direction of the massage alternate between the two modes. There is also a heat feature, but it appears to be just one temperature. It's a moderate amount of heat without being too hot, and it adds to the enjoyment of the massager. There isn't a time feature, though. It's up to the user to decide when to turn it off. The buttons for the power and various settings are conveniently located on the strap, so they're always within reach. Overall it's very simple to operate. The outside of the massager is covered in a smooth leather, and there's a breathable mesh fabric on the inside. The massager is powered via a standard AC adapter, but there is also an adapter included for using in the car. This would be enjoyable for traveling on a long road trip! I think this would also be a nice gift idea for any adult.

Really love this massager, you plug it in and can use it immediately. No need to wait for a charge, but the downside is you can't move around too far with, you're stuck by the outlet. But the power cord is long so you have at lease 4-5ft of movement you can make. The quality is high, and it feels great as a masssager.

This shiatsu massager works well but I don’t like it quite as much as another version I have of a shiatsu massager (which I have had for many years). There is something a little different about the way this one works compared to that one. This one does a decent job with the massage, but I can’t seem to get it to work as deeply on my neck and back as the other one. It doesn’t quite hit me in the right places. My old one helps me with migraines, this one doesn’t seem to help much. The foam/net cover that covers the massagers is also a little scratchy to me (I have pretty sensitive skin) and it bothers me if I use it for long. This massager needs to be plugged in while using. It has a heat, speed control, and reverse settings. It is easy to operate and it works fine, but it isn’t my personal favorite.

This review is for the FFAE Shiatsu Neck and Back Massager with Heat, Electric Deep Tissue Kneading Neck and Shoulders. Overall my husband has really enjoyed this device. Pros - You can really target your knots with this device using the arm loops to help direct the device to the right spots to work on. The massaging is great, but you can overdo it, It really gets in there! The heat function works well and helps relieve muscle tension. Controls are simple to use but are not visible when you're using it. My husband just pushes buttons until he gets what he wants. After a few uses he has remembered what button does what. Cons - Biggest problem with it is that it is a bit bulky, could be streamlined to make it easier to use and more comfortable The vinyl in the arm loops gets kind of sweaty so it would be better if it was fabric. Don't pull down too hard on the arm loops as it slows down the motors. You need to find the right balance between getting good pressure and not working the motors too hard

This is not light. It sits behind your neck, and on your shoulders. You get straps on the left and right sides that you can run your arms through to hold the massage unit against you. The plastic rods that substitute for fingers are intimidating. Must be plugged in to use. A car adapter is included. I hope you don't use this while driving. I would have to say that it works. After all the trepidation, I nearly fell asleep while it kneaded my neck.

I don't ever see myself using this in the car, but the included car adapter is nice, but the long included wall cable works well. I wouldn't say the motors on the discs that spin around is the strongest but you don't need that much pressure. You once again have the "heat" feature that is just tiny red coated incandescent bulbs so that feature is a straight up lie, not sure why every seller lies about there being a heat feature, there is even a button for it that turns the lights on which looks cool, but there is no heat. Lies aside, for the price this massager is pretty great, I just leave it at the couch and use it whenever I need it on my upper back and shoulders. It probably won't last years but the materials used are sufficient for the price.

I would have given this three stars but my reason wasn't fair to the item. I have other neck massagers that are different and feel more like human hands really massaging you so it is hard not to compare this with those. On it's own this is very nice and that is why I gave it 4 instead of 3 stars. It does feel nice and it gives a good little massage that will have you feeling relief. You can just barely feel the heat but it does get better the longer you have it running. It is a little awkward to hold in place (but many of these are the same). Just be patients and find the most comfortable way to use it. The control buttons are also way up next to the neck rather than down at the ends of the straps where you would be able to actually see them. So, you need to start it before you put it on because you will not find the power (or heat and modes) button if it is aroud your neck.
