This chair is really helping me manage pain from a herniated disk while driving. The vibrations and heat loosen up my back and reduce pain. The air bags on either side of the hips are a nice addition. They inflate enough to lift me slightly, which takes weight off my butt and helps keep it from getting sore on long drives. I imagine all the movement and vibrations help to keep blood and lymph moving too

Unfortunately my new car didn't include massaging seats. On long road trips, massaging seats are an absolute joy to have. My last car did have massaging seats, but like almost all such seats, it was a shiatsu-type of massage -- which can be a bit uncomfortable. This massage unit uses filling and emptying air bladders to create the massage. In addition it adds a vibration and a heat function. This makes it a much better massage experience than the one you get with factory massage seats. There are a couple downsides to be aware of though. The massage pad installed on the car seat is not especially comfortable-- not horrible-- but it is fairly rigid feeling when not in use. I also found that the neck massage portion of the pad is not positioned properly to fit my body (I'm 5'10" ). I would buy again, and definitely would use it on any trip longer than three hours. But I wouldn't leave it installed permanently due to the comfort factor when not used.

I received this as a Christmas gift and LOVE it. I may never leave my chair. It has varying strenths of shiatsu massage, and the massage goes up and down the back, or I can choose just upper or lower back, or just concentrate on one spot. The air bags go on and off to give a massage to the neck and hips. This is so helpful for the pain I feel in my hips. This also has varying degrees of strength. Then there is heat and vibration. There are so many different combinations, I love that I can customize the experience to whatever is hurting, or to just relax. You won't regret it if you buy it!

Very much enjoying this massager in my favorite leather chair. It is comforting to my back, neck and hips. The heat feels great, too. Yesterday I used it twice after a workout at the gym. I’m becoming addicted to it! The controller is easy and intuitive to use; the handy pocket on the side of the massager makes it easy to find. All functions are clearly shown, with the option to turn off heat or vibration or adjust the pressure. I don’t see the electrical cord length in the specs, but it’s roughly 6 ft long. Mrs. T

When functional, item worked well, but then just stopped working. No indication of error, nothing visible or able to be identified as broken. Just stopped turning on. Less than 6 months of use and completely failed. Disappointed for the cost. Included the desired functionality, but build quality is apparently lacking. Not worth the costs.

Style: Shiatsu Back Massager
Works great, except it doesn't fit well inside of my recliner. The air bags on the side flip up and take up so much room that I can barely squeeze my legs in between them. The bottom massage balls of the machine are at the very base and stick out against my lower back painfully until the machine starts moving. I have rheumatoid arthritis so that could be what makes it hurt more than usual. I think this is meant to be used more on an no-arm type chair, like a desk chair or straight chair or car seat. I wanted something I could use on my recliner. Note: the massage is super-powerful! I had to keep it on low setting because it was almost painful otherwise. I am returning this one and will keep looking for something similar, without the side bags.

I got this for my son in law who has a desk job and sits all day. He’s always complaining about his back and legs hurting and his backside getting numb from sitting. He says he loves the heat and massage and uses it several times a day along with the traction feature. He said it took him a few times to get it set to just how he wants it. The construction of the massager seems sturdy, the seams are tight and I didn’t see any missed stitches or loose threads. The controller is easy to use and store conveniently in the pocket on the left.
