To be honest, we spent WAY more money on the other blinds in our house. Blinds that look very similar to this roller blind. So we were excited to give these a try when we needed blinds for our laundry room and came across these, which seemed like an amazing price for a blackout roller shade. But it looks great, looking from indoors or outdoors, it was SUPER easy to install. And it's genuinely a blackout shade, assuming you measured correctly (read the product description very thoroughly to ensure you're choosing the correct size!). I had a time installing these. That doesn’t mean you will. I am a very old little old lady, removing old hardware and installing new in a window that is above my kitchen sink. It was hard not to fall in the sink, or get the drill in the right position at the right angle, After much cussing at myself, SUCCESS. These blinds definitely look better than my 40 year old plastic mini blinds. They look very clean and modern. It was worth the effort and now I feel very proud of myself. My kitchen looks so much better.

This is the third brand of shade I've tried for my staircase window. I guess the third time's the charm, because I finally found one that looks good and feels like a quality window covering that will last. This blind has larger hanging brackets than the last one I tried and the only trouble I had during installation was seating and pressing the shade housing onto the brackets. I'm not particularly strong, so for most people this won't be a problem. The blackout is very good as you can see from my photos, some light does seep in at the sides and top, but it's still excellent coverage for a non-custom blind. I ordered this in the 27" size for my 27.5" opening and it's 100% true to size. The shade material is a full inch less wide at 26" so I'm using it with light blockers at the sides for extra coverage. If you want a better blackout effect, I recommend picking light blockers up. The fabric is nice and has a texture to it, which makes it feel more expensive than it is. There is a bit of a wave in the fabric when you first unroll it, but that's normal for any shade and will relax out of it after a few days of blocking the sun. The shade moves up and down easily without any cords and you don't have to fight with it to keep it in the position you want, which is a real plus when you're using it in a small window like I am. The valance is 2 3/4" high and 2 5/8" deep which isn't described in the listing, but might be helpful to know in the event you're doing an inside mount. There's no discernible smell to this shade, which is also a plus. In terms of quality, this is the nicest shade I've gotten of the three I've tried in this window. The first brand I tried shipped their shade with the pull pre-installed, which caused deep indentations that would not relax out. The second had a pull chain that was in the way in such a small window and my cats though it was a toy. This one ticks all the boxes in terms of quality and functionality. I know it can be hard to choose window coverings sight unseen, but this one is on par with those I've seen in big box stores, so if you're looking for a cordless roller-style shade with a valance, this one should be on your list to try.

OK, When I originally got these, I wasn't sure what to expect considering how reasonable the price was. I was so darn impressed! I installed these in my home office and I absolutely love them! They were easy to install, and I cannot believe how well they work as blackout shades. At one point during the day, no curtains can block out the sunshine from hitting my monitors and the glare is horrible. With these shades, that isn't even an issue and my eyes are finally getting a break! I am truly considering getting more of these for our upstairs bedrooms that have windows facing on the West side of the house.

When it arrived, the packaging was compact yet thoughtfully designed, with clear and simple instructions. Installation only took about 15 minutes. Very nice quality! I was very impressed! I originally purchased it for an inside mount, but my windows are older and not deep enough. Not to worry because I did manage to make it an outside mount! A good amount of privacy and blocking of the sunlight! I no longer wake up to it shining in! Easy to install. I am a grandma and I did it myself, so you can too!

I reached out to the company through Amazon for better instructions. I struggled to understand how the shade attached to the hardware. Hint: the white plastic piece flexes to fit into the groove on the shade. The shade and the hardware are excellent, the materials are very good quality. And easy to install once I understood the instructions. My measurements for an outside mount could have been better- the shade doesn't quite cover the entire window opening, but that's on me. Overall, a very good investment.
