Loved doing this picture!! Just wish they would roll "canvas" material instead of folding. Cannot get all the fold lines ironed out. Ruined one canvas because I kept the iron in one place too long. But loved the "painting" process. Gave it 4 stars because of how it's mailed.

I bought this kit post surgery in an attempt to keep myself busy and to feel creative. The photo shown of this kit is beautiful and maybe a few people could actually get “close” to the painting but not many. The paint is thin and is very difficult to cover up the numbers (some colors are thicker than others) and its annoying to have to repaint each piece over and over again. Also when repainting to cover the numbers you use more paint then is in the kit for the large sections and end up with spotty coverage. The canvas is pretty rough and the paint tends to “sit” on top with a lot of white showing through which requires at least two coats of paint. The details of this kit are overwhelming and seem unnecessary to the outcome. There are hundreds of tiny spots amongst larger areas that are very difficult to paint around with some being so small trying to figure out the number requires a magnifying glass and in some cases its still difficult to figure out the number. The paint brushes are also difficult to paint with and I finally changed them out to my own better quality brushes. Although I loved the pictured finished painting on Amazon and chose the kit based on that picture I think that starting with a less complicated kit would cause less frustration….not sure I will finish this one but for people who do paint by numbers that are complicated this would be a good one to choose.

The painting is beautiful but there are major issues. The paint is cheap and not pigmented, had to use 5 or more layers to cover the numbers depending on what color used . Also the canvas would not flatten out even when it is stretched on to a canvas, and it cracks if its stretched too far. Another thing the numbers are so small you can not see them , and the reference sheet is no help either because the numbers are just as small or smaller. The canvas being grey and white before its painted does nothing but make it harder to see. Not impressed !!!!
