Depending on the pressure you use and the angle it's a pretty good pen I recommend. The grip on the pen is very useful when writing. The ink quality is pretty good compared to dollar tree pens I have used before it doesn't have any streaks. Smudging is an issue if you don't let the pen ink dry properly. Random fact, I’ve never officially bought new pens in my life until this set. If you ask why it’s probably because I’ve never needed to and there’s always a pen somewhere to use in the moment. With that being said, these pens are amazing. I used to love colored gel pens when I was younger. I love how they write and these black ink pens, write so smoothly and nicely. Sometimes I find myself trying to find an excuse to keep riding with them just because. Lol. Would definitely recommend. I have one in my desk, one in my backpack, and one for my mom. Love love LOVE this pen! Really great for journaling or just an everyday pen. Very nice black ink and super smooth to write with. Also doesn’t seem to have a problem with smudging or lifting when marker is placed over it, which is a huge plus!
