Okay, first of all, some quick info about my hair: It is very thick, nearly shoulder length, and wavy. I have NEVER understood how to style my own hair which is a shame, because I've always wanted to. My hairstylist, bless her, would do her best to teach me. I'd try to replicate what she did to me in the salon and would end up a sweaty, frustrated mess with flat hair every time. I hated blow drying my hair because they were always too heavy and clunky to wield while I would try to round brush my hair and I'd end up getting overheated and burning my scalp. I could never figure out how to use a curling iron because I'd just burn myself and not get the result I want. People said the Air Wrap was super easy but I just couldn't justify the price. I do not have nearly $700 to blow on a hair tool. So I saw the great reviews for the Shark FlexStyle and that they were on sale. I bit the bullet and got the flower one because I thought it was cute. I washed my hair, let it airdry a little with some leave in conditioner and heat protection on it, and decided to try the blow dryer. Oh my gosh. I was surprised how powerful it was considering how small it is! I also really really loved I could control the heat AND how strong the air flow was. Most hair dryers can't do that! It dried my thick hair very quickly, even when I had it on the low heat setting. Next, I tried the curlers. I had no idea what I was doing. I assumed R meant for my right side and L for my left. I screwed the curler attachment on and just decided to play around with it. It took me a few seconds to realize how it would automatically wrap around the wand, which was really cool! I did one side and was shocked at how nice my hair looked, even though I was using it on low heat! I did the other side with the left curler and again, it was so easy! I sort of stared in shock at myself in the mirror, realizing I'd just done my hair in ten minutes. If I actually put some more effort into it next time, I'm sure it will look even better. So, first impressions, I absolutely love this hair tool! I will be buying the other attachments to try them out next! Pros: -Lots of different attachments -Can rotate the head of it to make it easier to hold when blow drying -Can control airflow and heat -Pretty easy to use and get the hang of after some trial and error -Very light to hold (my arm never got tired!), -Nice design (little flowers are cute, lol), -Feels nice quality and well made -More affordable than similar hair tools Cons: -I do admit, it's noisy but I've also felt that way for all hair dryers since I have pretty sensitive hearing. I also don't like the feeling of air blowing over my ears but I just put in some ear plugs and I was fine! I might try wearing my ear buds so I can listen to my music in the morning while I style my hair :D -Doesn't come with all of the attachments, you have to buy some of the separately which can be pricey $$ All in all, I highly recommend this!

LOVE, worth it

Absolutely LOVE my new shark flex! I am a low maintenance girly but having nicely dried hair is a huge win for me. My hair does not hold curl easy, it’s fine and very long. I tend to use less heat but I will definitely have to try what the tutorials recommend for drying curls! Would definitely recommend this. So easy to use and I love the multi-functionality.

Game Changer for My Hair Routine!

I can honestly say this is one of the best things I've ever ordered from Amazon. The Shark FlexStyle has completely changed the way I do my hair. It's powerful, easy to use, and gives me salon-quality results at home without the extreme heat damage. The different attachments make styling simple, whether I want volume, smoothness, or curls. My hair dries much faster than with a traditional dryer, and the finished look lasts throughout the day. I was a little hesitant because of the price, but after using it, I can confidently say it's worth every penny. If you're on the fence, just get it—you won't regret it. This is truly a game changer! This is more of a blowout tool than a curler

I bought this after watching videos where they create these easy, effortless curls and the hair seems to magically wrap itself around the curler. How could I resist this magic?! The first time I tried it I noticed it takes much, MUCH longer to curl my whole head with damp hair than it takes to curl my dry hair with a curling iron or wand. In fact, I was late for an event because it took so much longer than I anticipated. The second thing I noticed is it kicked on my air purifier into the red, there was crazy bad air quality while using this because it was blasting my heat protector/curling spray all throughout the air! The most disappointing thing was my curls fell after about an hour, they did not last at all. Do not buy this expecting beautiful curls if you have curl-resistant hair. I almost sent it back at this point from pure frustration but I decided to explore its other uses. I love all the available attachments which makes this quite a versatile hair tool. I can replace my air curling brush (which I use to basically just comb it straight with a little under curl at the ends.) It’s not as straight as using a heated hair straightener but it looks smooth enough for me. It’s amazing and powerful as a hair dryer, although pretty loud. The design and appearance is unique and I like how easy it is to twist and click to make a hair dryer. It’s fairly ergonomic. It is pretty heavy after awhile though. The heaviness, noise and inability to hold curls are the downsides and the versatility of available attachments therefore saving space is my favorite part.

If you’re hesitant- READ!

I was super hesitant to buy this because I heard so many conflicting reviews. Some people swore by it while others said it did nothing. I watched a ton of videos on how to use it and am glad I did. I have long hair that’s thick but I don’t have a lot of hair. What worked for me is drying my hair until it was about 80% dry then using a mousse. Once the mousse was applied, I sectioned my hair and put small pieces through the air stylers. I’d keep the heat on for ten seconds then use the cool shot button for another ten seconds. Once cool, I’d release the hair and spray it with hairspray. Once finished with all my hair, I let it sit and cool for another ten minutes or so before brushing it out with my hands. My hair holds all day and typically into the next day if I put it in a protective hair style. The product is actually decently light weight and I don’t feel my arms starting to hurt from using it like with heavier tools. It’s easy to switch between styling tools and the dryer works quickly. It is loud but not as loud as I was expecting after reading some other reviews. It has 3 heat settings but I always use the highest heat when using the air curlers. I haven’t noticed any damage due to use so far but make sure to use a heat protectant! I love this product. It makes doing my hair so much easier. I have more space in my bathroom now that I was able to get rid of curling wands, blow dryers, and blow dryer brushes!

I purchased this Shark Flex Style because I had used my sister in laws similar model item, by "the other brand" that was over $600. I really liked hers and how it made my hair look so I tried this one because i didn't want to spend the money. The shark is quite a bit bigger/longer than its competitor. When you have the actual hair dryer, plus the curling piece, it is about 20-22" long which I don't really like. I have short hair, so it is difficult to manage such a big appliance and get my hair around it. I felt like it was especially hard to do the back of my hair. The size also makes it so that it is not very portable to take with you anywhere else. The actual outcome from the FlexStyle is good. I felt like it produced enough heat and appreciated that there were 3 heat levels, 3 speed settings and also a quick cool button. I did feel like the on and off switch as well as the settings were in an awkward place at the bottom of the unit, but that goes back to the fact that I feel like the unit is too big. I really liked that it came with multiple attachments to try out, and my favorite was the brush addition because it was a very large barrel brush that provided lots of volume when I used it on my hair.
