    • It isn't as stable as mounting to you windshield
I was truly happy to find this piece of equipment for my car. Now, my windshield is clear of clutter. This mount works on windshield also, bit the reason I bought it was to clear my view. This is a great piece of equipment. The only drawback I have seen so far, is that it shakes pretty good when you're traveling over uneven roadways or damaged roadways. But as long as I get video, I can deal with a little shake. And, if you have reasonable video software, it can fix most of that shake. ... show more

If the mounting plate was as sticky as the suction cup, it would be great. As is, Not sure how I can utilize this thing. Would have sent back if my time had not elapsed before trying it out.

When you need a sturdy, and easy to use holder for the GPS, and have it mount where YOU want it to be, this covers all the bases perfectly. Rugged construction, not thin cheap crap. Holding power is like a gorilla, but easy to remove when you need to clean the dash. It won't jiggle when going on bumpy roads, nor drop down unexpectedly.
