We have a German Shepherd named Stormy who firmly believes her full-time job is producing enough fur to knit another German Shepherd. Add the occasional muddy paws and mystery messes, and our carpets definitely get a workout. This Shark doesn't even flinch. It pulls up dirt I didn't know was there, leaves the carpets looking amazing, and they're dry much faster than I expected. Stormy has also decided this machine is her mortal enemy and regularly barks at it, bites at it, and tries to intimidate it. The Shark remains completely unfazed. Five stars from me... zero stars from Stormy.

I didn’t see much for reviews on this, but Shark has always made a great product and I felt a need to leave one. We got this today and cleaned our living room rug and master bedroom. I don’t have any dramatic before and after photos but can tell you the dirty water looked like tar, and even after thorough vacuuming before using this, the hair/lint trap picked up more than we could imagine. Our carpet had some lighter spots from spot cleaning and now you cannot see them as it is all an even color. Most impressively, unlike any carpet cleaner we have had before, it left our 7 year old carpet feeling light and fluffy. The carpet feels rejuvenated. We like that this is just a floor cleaner so there are not too many moving parts. This was a great purchase.

So far, it is great! Really deep cleaned my carpet and picked up pet fur I didn't know was there. It's true that the tanks are smallish, but the power and effectiveness are superior. It is also much easier to keep the machine clean than with other carpet cleaners I've owned. That is important to me. Great machine.

This thing really cleans and sucks! I usually can’t tell such a stark difference when carpet cleaning but I could so tell this time. I have three dogs, two chihuahua mixes and a Mastador who sheds like she’s the one who vacuums. Even with a Dyson pet I can’t get up all the hair ever so with this having the “hair pro” system, is amazing. It actually got the hair up that was imbedded into the carpet. My only complaint is the tank size. It is TINY. You definitely are making way more trips to dump and fill than usual machines. If it had more capacity in that way this thing would be 5 stars.

Carpets can look clean right up until you run a proper carpet cleaner over them and suddenly realize how much dirt, hair, and old residue was actually sitting in there. I vacuum with an upright once a week and even have a robot vacuum making the rounds every day and I was still shocked with the gunk I was seeing in the used water tank. This Shark CarpetForce has been really good for that deeper reset, especially in higher-traffic areas, around entryways, and anywhere pets tend to hang out. The cleaning performance is strong. It pulls up a surprising amount of embedded dirt and leaves carpet looking noticeably fresher instead of just damp. I like having the two cleaning modes because not every job needs the full deep-clean treatment. The deeper mode is what I would use for stains, pet messes, or carpets that have not been cleaned in a while, while the quicker mode is useful when you just want to freshen things up and do not want to wait around forever for the carpet to dry. It is also much easier to use than some older carpet cleaners I have dealt with. The instructions are straightforward, the tanks are easy enough to fill and empty, and it does not feel overly bulky or awkward to push around. It still has enough weight to feel like it is making good contact with the carpet, but it is light enough that I do not feel like I am dragging a giant wet vacuum through the house. The brush roll is especially useful if you have pets. Hair is one of the biggest annoyances with carpet cleaners because it can collect, clump up, and turn cleanup into a whole extra job afterward. This does a good job pulling up hair while keeping it from wrapping around the roller as badly as a lot of traditional carpet cleaners. It also helps with the dirt that gets worked down into carpet fibers over time, especially in the places people and pets walk over constantly. Stain removal has been solid too. I would still treat fresh stains as quickly as possible because no carpet cleaner can completely undo every old mystery stain that has been sitting there for months, but this has enough suction and agitation to make a real difference. It is especially good for reviving carpet that has started looking dull or slightly grimy even after regular vacuuming. The removable wand is another nice touch because it makes the cleaner more versatile around stairs, furniture edges, and tighter spots where an upright head cannot reach as easily. Storage is also not bad for this kind of appliance. It is still a carpet cleaner, so it is not tiny, but the more compact design makes it easier to tuck into a closet or laundry room than some of the larger models. Overall, this is a really strong carpet cleaner for homes with pets, high-traffic carpet, stains, or anyone who wants more than surface-level cleaning. It is easy to use, does a good job with hair and embedded grime, has useful cleaning modes, and does not feel overly cumbersome to move around. For the cleaning performance and features, I think the the price is pretty reasonable.

I have two kids, a busy house, and a white rug in my kitchen—which, in hindsight, may not have been my smartest decorating decision. Between spills, dirty shoes, crumbs, and everyday life, that rug had slowly gone from bright white to "maybe it used to be white." Enter the Shark CarpetForce HairPro. I've owned and used several carpet cleaners over the years, and Shark continues to impress me with how they take something that is usually bulky and frustrating and make it easier to use without sacrificing performance. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight this machine feels compared to many traditional carpet cleaners. It's easy to maneuver, easy to carry, and doesn't leave me feeling like I just completed an upper-body workout. For the true test, I used it on my white kitchen rug. I honestly wasn't expecting miracles because some of those stains had been there for a while. After one pass, I could already see a noticeable difference. After a thorough cleaning, the amount of dirt and grime that came out was honestly embarrassing. The dirty water tank never lies. What impressed me most was how much brighter and fresher the rug looked afterward. It wasn't just cleaner—it looked revived. Colors appeared brighter, fibers looked refreshed, and the rug felt softer underfoot. The HairPro technology is another huge win. As a household with kids and plenty of hair constantly finding its way onto floors, I appreciated not having to stop every few minutes to cut tangled hair off the brush roll. Shark clearly designed this machine with real households in mind. I also love having two cleaning modes. Deep Clean is fantastic when you want that full carpet reset, while Express Clean is perfect for quick maintenance and significantly faster drying times. I like the various options available for carpet cleaning. You get a deep clean option and an express option. I do a deep clean once a month, and an express cleaning twice a month. This setup allows me to maintain the carpet relatively clean throughout its life cycle. I have used other carpet cleaning machines available at rental centers, and find them bulky to use, and not always well maintained, leaving me to reclean the machine and perform minor adjustments not handled by rental personnel. I have always been a fan of Shark vacuum products. They tend to perform well and when maintained properly, can last many years of maintenance free service. I like the lightweight design of this machine. It doesn't weigh a ton like those you rent. It was easy to use and move around. The deep clean ultra shampoo worked well. There was no excessive foaming and was pretty simple to put together. I did not experience any clogging whatsoever during the cleaning process. What makes this machine unique in my opinion is how it handles hair, not like most carpet cleaning machines that wrap hair around the roller forcing you to detangle the roller yourself. The hair with this machine goes straight into the water tank bypassing the brush roller. This saved me a lot of time. Now, for the cleaning part. Did this machine clean better than others? The answer is yes! I noticed cleaner lines and faster drying. The Sharky did not disappoint. It was priced well. The quality was as expected. I did not see any defects at all. The build quality was excellent. I like the machine a lot. Highly recommend.
