  • Aftermarket brand that's an exact fit and does what it supposed to do - cool the engine! Aftermarket brand that's an exact fit and does what it supposed to do - cool the engine!
Size: 97-01 Camry
The week of August 6-12 was soaring high heat and severe heat warning/record high to most cities in the Phoenix AZ area. I was driving home from work around 1/4 to 8PM when i suddenly saw on my dash "check engine" and quickly observed all gauges and saw temp at RED line so immediately pulled over to the side of the road and quickly put the vehicle on hazard lights and turn off the engine. My 2000 Toyota Camry LE 4 2.2L 4cyl car has experience engine overheat due to the radiator tank (top part) cracked almost 3 inches long. I had this aftermarket installed myself when my OEM radiator (made out of brass tank) has finally retired at 180k miles of driving in AZ. That aftermarket radiator lasted almost 5 years and at about 50k miles of driving. It probably gave up due to the extreme heat we had experienced during this 2023 summer. I was able to get home safely by letting the engine cool down a bit and I have my go to bag tools always in the trunk with 2 gallons of water that i always carry in circumstances like this. I applied several 3M packaging tape to the top tank (made out of plastic), fill the reservoir all the way to the top and slowly filled the radiator (2 gallons was more than enough). I left the radiator open (didn't install the cap) so the pressure wont build up and to allow the tape to patch/stick long enough for me to drive the car home ( about 4 miles). I made it safe and sound. I bought this DWVO Radiator and which by the way is 1/4 of the price of what i paid for with an aftermarket brand replacement from Oreilly 5 years ago. The radiator comes securely packaged with enough protection to prevent damaging the aluminum fins. The ATF oil cooler lines were made out of brass connector and it comes with drain plug (it does not come with radiator cap and AT sensor). What i really love with my good old Camry is that everything is as easy as DIY so removing the broken radiator was very easy. Installing the 2x aux fans matches exactly the mounting holes and radiator snug fit when i position it in the engine bay. Do not overtighten the ATF oil cooler line brass adapters just snug fit is enough. Reinstalled the existing AT Sensor after thoroughly cleaning the sensor body. First top off was pure Distilled water to flush out the remaining tap water i poured in with my 2 gallons. 2nd top off was 50/50 mix coolant (yellow ethylene glycol based engine coolant) used 1 gallon and drain again. Final top off another gallon of 50/50 mix coolant (i used super tech 50/50 premixed coolant) including the reservoir to max line. This Camry model engine 5SFE does not have a bleeder port and the way to bleed air from the cooling system is to squeeze both upper and lower hoses gently while engine is running idle and radiator cap off. I did a few times but the coolant bursts out of the radiator when the engine reached its operating temp which i noticed on the temp needle the temp rises 3/4 means there is something wrong with the cooling system (suspected cylinder head swelling, damaged head gaskets, damaged water pump, or thermostat). I let the engine cool down, fill up the radiator with coolant and lock the cap in place. Started the engine and observed the operation of the 2x aux fans which should run automatically when the engine temp reaches between 280-300F which means water pump still work, thermostat still good as well as the AT sensor. I decided not to use the car for work for a week and just drive around doing short trips errands and observing the temp as well as the reservoir level. I noticed the temp needle is steady even at 114F outside temp driving but had to fill the reservoir back to max line 3x before the air lock system has finally adjusted and all air was dispensed through the reservoir tank. I have driven the car for more than 5k now since replacement and the temp still steady needle just below the mid line and the reservoir tank steady at max line. I still kept a gallon extra of the 50/50 mix coolant just in case and a gallon of distilled water plus my go to 2 gallons water for emergency or top off. Very satisfied with my purchase. I know i dont expect this radiator to last very long despite routine coolant flushing and maintenance especially here in the AZ desert driving condition. Best bet would be same as the last aftermarket radiator but I am hoping this one from DWVO could outlast and get me at least to 6-7 years before i have to replace it again. Overall experience with this product 5 stars. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • 2001 Tacoma V6 Radiator Replacement After 26 Years
Size: 95-04 Tacoma
This was a perfect fit to my 2001 Tacoma V6. The shipping was super fast, after I discovered the old radiator had a 1 inch hairline crack beside the radiator cap. After patching that up, the old radiator still leaked draining the reserve tank every 120 miles. The packaging of the radiator was excellent, there was even a 2 inch hole in the middle box, from what look like the corner of another box pierced it. But that didn't even come close to the item inside. So this was my 1st ever DIY radiator replacement and this item fit great. This project went smoothly, and is very straight forward. To avoid air in the coolant system when refilling, get yourself a vacuum coolant kit. As air can prevent the thermostat from opening, to circulate coolant back to radiator. This will cause overheating. A minor comment, there is a metal tab on both the left and right frame of it facing the front of the vehicle. These metal tabs are bent forward and seem to be used to help secure the radiator packaging in transport. They need to be bent flat or flush with the frame; otherwise, the tabs prevent the radiator from fitting into the original area. This also prevents the front bolts from reaching the radiator frame, because they are short. ... show more

  • Do not trust the radiator
Size: 00-03 Impala & 00-03 Monte Carlo
Bought this in march installed it a week after it arrived, shortly after I installed it I noticed that the radiator seems to have a small amount of fluid loss but noticed no laekage from anywhere. fast forward to this week, wife had a surgery car was fine on the 45 minute drive there. On the way back however the temp gauge was all over the place ( never overheated) jumping from 1/4 to 3/4 and back again rapidly. Got home put it on ramps to see what the heck was going on. noticed a pinkish fluid on the ground. looked closer my transmission pan is leaking radiator fluid. Long story short-ish, the "quality welding" they advertised doesn't exist, radiator outside return window, and Transmission swimming in radiator fluid. THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUALITY PRODUCT!!! never again. ... show more

  • Fit and Works Well!!
Size: 07-11 Camry
This fit my 2007 toyota camry. I can’t say perfectly because it turns out mine has some front end damage I had no idea about and had to do some mods to get it to fit. Still running good after a couple of months. If it fails I’ll update this post.
