I've been a cappuccino and flat white fan for a long time but have always been intimidated at home espresso machines. So many buttons and knobs and settings and clean up always seemed like a pain so I just go to a coffee shop to get my espresso drinks. But good lord, those drinks get expensive over time so I decided it was time to bite the bullet and make drinks at home. This machine is a perfect introduction to at home espresso! It's super simple. Four buttons, minimal moving parts, and very straightforward. The instructions were more than enough to get started and, with practice, it makes a fantastic flat white! Each day, my coffee gets better as I get used to it. I find myself excited to get up just to make a coffee with this machine. A few pros and cons, though the cons aren't enough for me to drop it a star: Pros: Easy to clean, especially if you do it right away (definitely do it right away if you've steamed milk) The water reservoir is a good size so you don't have to fill it too often Easy to use, pretty simple Heats quickly Looks nice on the counter Cons: The milk frother takes some time to figure out, but that may just be the novice in me. I have yet to get some real good froth but I prefer more of a flat white so that's ok with me and I'm sure, with practice, I'll get it. The angle of it isn't ideal though--I wish it could be moved a bit more. It takes a while for the machine to cool down to coffee temp after heating to froth the milk, which may be an annoyance if you're making several drinks. I'm usually just make one drink at a time so it hasn't been an issue and you can avoid this by making all the espresso first, then milk. Possibly lacking in the settings or adjustments a pro espresso maker might want (but perfect for a beginner)

This is a great begineer espresso machine for home use. Easy to use buttons and compact on the countertop. What I like: * Compact, doesn't take much space in the countertop * Heats up quick - helps to make quick coffee * Cleaning is easy * Large water tank - no need to add water frequently * Stainless steel exterior, looks pretty * Single shot and double shot basket * Easy to use portafilter What can be improved * Warming plat doesn't get warm enough - but I don't use it much * Steaming spout can be more adjustable, it swivels and pulls up and down, the up and down angle could be better * Portafilter handle is made of plastic, and feels flimsy Recommend

This machine was easily set up with the included, reasonably well-translated instructions. I ground some beans using an in-store grinder set to the finest espresso size and made an excellent cup on the first try. It took approximately 22 seconds to run the cycle after a quick preheating. You can't adjust the pour's timing, though you could run a cycle multiple times. This machine is a vast improvement over my previous espresso machine, and like that one, it will take some practice to refine my frother technique. I couldn't readily get the milk to rise on my first try here. The frother aims at an angle, which is a tradeoff, as it makes frothing easier, but a more vertical frother pipe could empty its initial spray of water into the bottom container, which isn't an option here. After frothing, the machine takes a little while to cool down, but this isn't usually a big deal. For the price, this is a solid entry into espresso making. The operation is straightforward, the LCD screen is a nice extra, and the quality is appropriate for the price. I don't believe you could go wrong with this model, and I will be using it very frequently.

An espresso machine with these features/quality usually also has a higher price point so I think this is a solid deal. I will say that I have read online that 20 bar pressure isnt exactly ideal for an espresso (9 bar is), but I couldnt tell the difference anyways. Makes my espressos as it should. Frother/steamer wand eliminates the purpose of needing a frother and it has a nice top area for storage. I will be placing an espresso tool holder on top of it. Instructions for the steamer/frother could be made easier to follow, but I would recommend this still.
