Suspension is overly stiff for the small size voice coil. You will smoke the voice coil well before you get any SPL out of this. Also I would say it would probably sound better in a sealed box. I had them in a .6cf ported, insulated boxes. They sound like a blapper (fart). The small voice coil just isn't big enough to really get them moving. They distort and get hot, and start cooking the voice coil well before they even start to get loud. These are a no go! If looking for cheap 6.5 "subwoofer" get the drisentri or whatever it's named, blue cone ones. Those are great! These are not!

You get what you pay for... it's not the best and not the least either...it's good for a $25 woofer.
