After pricing the cost of paying to have my awning replaced, I decided to do it myself. It wasn't too tough, but it's definitely a 2 to 3 person job. The spring was a little tricky - we used a needle nose Visegrips to clamp to the shaft because our full sized Visegrips didn't open wide enough to clamp to the end. The material is sturdy and attractive. The stitching is straight, clean, is clear of any visible defects. The awning is an inch or 2 narrower than the awning it replaced, but the same length or slightly longer. The result looks good and functions correctly. Time will tell on how well it holds up. I'll update my review after a year or two of use as it's too early to know how well it'll hold up.

This awning was thicker than the original that came with my 10 year old camper and the measurements on the fabric were spot on! My original awning fabric was 10' 8" on a 12' frame from StarCraft. The ShadePro is 11' 2" wide and covers the roller to about 3/8" from each end cap. Perfect! It also seems to extend a couple inches further out than the original. It took my wife and I an hour and a half, but we are 70 plus, and took our time. Nice product and packaged well. Good job ShadePro!
