  • Nice machine for light duty sewing.
Nice little sewing machine for quick sewing jobs.

  • It’s great
I’ve been really happy with this sewing machine—it’s very beginner-friendly but still has enough features to make it useful for more detailed projects. The built-in LED light is a big help, especially when working on small or dark fabrics. It makes everything much easier to see and helps reduce mistakes. The reverse stitching and tension adjustment also give it a more professional feel, even though it’s designed with beginners in mind. I like that it has two speed settings and the option to use either the button controls or the foot pedal. It makes it easy to start slow while learning, but still gives you more control as you get comfortable. The 12 built-in stitch patterns are a great bonus. It’s simple to switch between them using the dial, and it covers everything from basic repairs to more decorative sewing projects. It’s versatile enough for everyday use, crafts, and small DIY projects. I also appreciated that it comes with a full accessory kit, including thread and tools, so you can start using it right away without having to buy extra items. Overall, it feels like a complete starter sewing machine that’s perfect for beginners, teens, or anyone getting into sewing as a hobby. ... show more

  • Beginner is the Keyword Beginner is the Keyword
This lightweight, little sewing machine. I am including a mechanical pencil in some pics to help give an idea of just how small. It does sew a nice, even stitch. It comes with a peddle but you can actually sew without it by using the knobs in the lower right corner (off, L, H). It has a surprisingly good number of stitches it’s able to do, along with metal bobbins which was a nice surprise. It does thread a little differently than a normal machine and I found it a little harder to thread the needle since everything is also a little compact and there is no light near the needle. Good thing it came with a needle threader tool! Since it doesn’t have a light which is often on machines near the needle, you will want to have your own good lighting. This is definitely for beginners as it is so small and lightweight that I don’t think it will handle sewing multiple layers of thick fabric well, but I could be wrong. It also comes with pretty much everything you would need/want as a beginner to do some simple projects. Overall, it’s not going to replace a regular sewing machine in the long-term, but it is a nice little setup for someone who is learning to sew, decide if they like it, and to do small repairs or projects. ... show more

  • Sewing Machine for Beginners with 42 Pcs Sewing Kit, Sewing machine with 12 Built-in Stitches
I got this sewing machine to teach my son how to sew, and it has been a great choice for that. It is definitely made more for beginners, but that is exactly what I wanted. I needed something simple, lightweight, and easy for him to use without being too overwhelming. The built-in stitches and included sewing kit are nice extras, and the machine is a good size for learning basic sewing projects. It has been a helpful starter machine and works well for someone just getting into sewing. ... show more

  • Surprising little machine! Surprising little machine!
While I’m not brand new to sewing, I’d still consider myself a beginner. I have used a hand-me-down 1970’s Kenmore and a BabyLock Zest for all of my projects so far, so I was really excited to try this smaller/lighter weight one. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much because it looks so much like a toy, but it proved me wrong! First, when I took it out of the box, they already had thread on the spool cap that was pre-wound, along with a threaded bobbin already inserted and pull through. It came with a piece of fabric already sewn to keep the threads out and ready to go! I think that’s amazing for anyone that has not seen a fully threaded machine before, because you’ll have an understanding of what it’s supposed to look like next time. Not only that, but it means there was also already a presser foot and needle installed as well. I was literally able to take it out of the box and start sewing! So easy. The first scrap fabric I found was actually a light color denim, so a pretty thick fabric. I was really surprised how well this little machine was able to sew through it! I’ve added a couple pictures that will show the fabric. This little thing also has 12 different stitches! I’m shocked, that’s amazing. This really is a machine for beginners, and not just a toy that can make a stitch or two. There’s a light by the needle, a level for raising the foot just like every other machine I’ve used, and an easy foot release mechanism. There bobbin is also easy to pop in and out. As a whole kit, this is a great little starter set! You basically just plug in the foot and the electrical cord and it’s ready to go. It came with extra needles, matching thread and pre-wound bobbins, scissors, a seam ripper, tape measure, thimble, and needle threader. If you’ve never touched a sewing machine before, I’d still recommend looking up online what exactly a bobbin is, how the two threads work together to sew stitches, how to start stitches and lock them in with a reverse stitch, etc. The instruction booklet was fine for me, but I think I may have struggled a little if I didn’t already know how sewing machines work. I think this is a great small machine for all of the basics and learning. You can easily take it with you somewhere to practice since it’s so light. It works and operates just like the bigger machines I’ve used, so the skills you learn on it will transfer well. ... show more

  • Great For Beginners & Novices
This is a great starter machine for beginners/novices who want to dabble and try sewing. With just a small investment, you get an idea of what it's like to use a sewing machine. You can teach yourself , try it out & familiarize yourself with a sewing machine. It's smaller than a standard, traditional, sewing machine, but it's really easy to use. It does all the basic standard jobs that a traditional size sewing machine does. It comes with basic starter accessories that you'll need to get started. The bottom winder works really well and it's very easy to familiarize yourself with using it. I haven't had any issues of skipped stitches, or the stitches getting tangled up. Overall, it's a really good value for a basic smaller starter sewing machine. ... show more
