Bought the PT45 to use in the back of my truck when I go camping. I have a LiFePo4 100Ah battery (Dr. Prepare PowerMax) with a 100w solar panel. The weather hasn't cooperated yet to actually hit the wilderness with the cooler yet, but I have tested it quite a bit at my house. I'm amazed at how fast it cools down even on eco mode. I set the small side to 5 degrees F and put a bottle of water in it. After only about 2 hours I took the bottle out and opened it. And it did that thing where the fluid starts turning to ice after the cap is cracked. Amazing. I ran the cooler for 3 days off my LiFePo4 battery and the battery still had juice left. That was with the small side set to 5 degrees and the large side set to 38. I'm hoping with the minimal power consumption of this fridge that my 100w panel will be able to provide enough recharge capability so that I can run the cooler for much longer periods. The unit has some weight, but is not difficult to lift in and out of the back of my truck. The compressor is very quiet, but you can hear when it is running. Definitely not what I would consider loud at all. The handles are plastic but feel pretty solid. The lids both latch nicely when closed. The LED lights on the inside are very nice too. I can't speak to durability in the wild since I haven't made the maiden voyage with it. But first impressions are very positive. As with some other users, I don't know how accurate it maintains temperature to the set temp. But honestly, if the freezer side freezes and the refrigerator side cools down to around 40, it's really not an issue for me. I really don't care that if I set the temp to 38 that it's actually running at 40. The food won't know the difference. If it's within a few degrees, for this price point I'm OK with that.

This has been a great cooler, It gets to set temps quickly and maintains them. Holds a lot of food/drinks. I recently broke a hinge and cooler is a few months out of warranty. I contacted customer support and they are sending me a new lid free of charge!!! Thanks, Setpower

This is the 45 quart set power freezer cooler I've had it in my truck for 3 weeks now it's working just fine it's a little noisy but not bad I like the fact you can adjust the compressor to be maximum or minimum and the temperature is very easy to set but I'm not sure how accurate it is I don't have a battery in my thermometer to check it. One of the other reviewers was right when they ship it they put the shipping label on the wrong end when it came it was either upside down or sideways I don't remember I had my wife bring it in the house and set it up right so when I got home it was ready to go but if it's not sitting up right you do not want to plug it in for at least 24 hours let it sit. The packaging was as described by other reviewers very heavy duty packaging but it did come with a dent in it so I know this dent was in it when it was put in the box but it don't really matter to me it's a cooler it's going to get dented when I take it out of the truck use it for camping I think this will be ideal for camping I have a deep cycle battery for my RV I have solar panels 100 w that I know will charge that battery and run this thing on a weekend camping trip also when I put it in my truck I plugged it into my inverter I left my truck sit for 24 hours when I came back to my truck it was down to 12.1 volts which is still plenty to start the truck it fired right up but I do have four batteries so if you use just one battery and say your pickup truck or your SUV you might want to keep an eye on it. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase for the price I looked at some that were upwards of $1,000 and so far this one's taking a beating being in the truck and it's still working just fine and it's very large I didn't think it would be this big but it's pretty big takes up the whole passenger side of my truck but it is nice having that big freezer I can put ice cream whatever I want in there.

This is a great refrigerator and freezer. I have put it thru a good workout for a two months. It keeps the temperature right were I set them too. It's vary quite to me. As far as power, it's great. About 40 watts when running and zero watts when it's not running. A real battery saver. The power cord with the cigarette lighter connector keeps slipping out of the portable battery socket quite open. Maybe it's the vibration as i travel down the road. It wood be nice to have a power cord with a xt60 or xt90.

We just put this thing through a full weekend road trip torture test and it did awesome! I had previously bought a smaller BougeRV model, however after receiving 3 (yes three) different ones, I sent each back due to having a loud, high-pitched buzzing noise coming from the obviously cheaply-made compressor. This Setpower model is far and above a better made fridge all around. Each of the 2 compartments are great, particularly the deeper side which we were able to fit a bunch of leftover food from our hotel, as well as 2 x 10" deep dish pizzas with tonnes of room to spare, while the smaller side was stocked with 12 small water bottles. Everything was kept cool, and the remarkable thing was how insulated it stayed. I tested one day using my 299Wh portable battery, and still had 20% battery left after a 5 hour drive with both sides of the fridge set to 34 degrees. It's one thing for some of these fridge companies to advertise how little power they draw, but if the insulation sucks and the compressor is constantly turning on, the power use is useless, particularly for those of us using portable batteries. The compressor itself was silent ... we could barely hear it turn on in the back seat of our truck, which was a huge relief after the annoyance of the BougeRV noise. Also, I particularly chose this model for the Bluetooth and can confirm it works great. The Setpower app is simple but does the job ... set the temperatures of each zone and turn it on/off as needed, monitor the temperature etc. As we were wanting to make sure the fridge worked good, we were constantly checking the app every hour or so to ensure the temperature was being kept so the bluetooth function was very handy as our fridge was in the back seat of our truck. Overall, we are very impressed with this model. Yes its more money than some other car fridges, but having dealt with issues in another brand I would happily pay the extra money if I ever bought another fridge, to get a well built model such as this Setpower.

Works great draws minimal watts even in the hot UT sun in a black truck! 30W periodically to stay cold, and cools down very quickly. Used it with a Bluetti AC180 and when solely the only draw would go several days no prob. Used it constant for 2 weeks without a hitch! Was skeptical about the two compartments as I don’t think I’ll ever use it for a freezer but it was perfect to separate the beers from the food! No ice is a giant win!

I bought this because a friend of mine said that these have a good reputation, and because it is relatively simple... just a fridge with no Bluetooth or apps, it does the job well. My previous 12 volt fridge decided to just die with a random error code that wasn't documented, so this was its replacement. After several months of constant running, it runs and runs well. Definitely impressed how well it performs, day by day. The two compartments are also useful. The freezer does well, and I can keep frozen items at a safe temperature. The fridge side, I keep at 34º (F) and food says cold, even in the Texas heat. I highly recommend getting the insulated protective cover for it, because it does help a good amount. Overall, likely will buy another, because 12 volt fridges are highly useful in case of a power outage... or just needing cold drinks on a road trip when plugged into a battery bank. Note, as of two years later: This fridge is still outside in my courtyard, keeping drinks cold, flawlessly. Freezer side is still cold, fridge side is still cold. It has worked flawlessly through all kinds of weather, although it isn't directly exposed to the elements being on a covered patio. Definitely five stars, for just being able to keep going.
