I purchased these bar stools on 3/15/19(One star less because I just bought them.) After carefully unpacking the box and reading the warranty terms (90 days!) I began to wonder why it was so short. To the untrained eye the included hardware and tool would seem to be adequate for the task at hand. Attaching the seat to the post, no problem. However after further review, it becomes evident that the hardware is not adequate for the task. Which is supporting the weight according to the manufacturer, of 250lbs. The hardware consists of eight or nine metric (6mm) bolts which are only 15mm long (just a little over 1/2 inch). If you look at the picture of the flange and the bolt together, you will see that the head of the bolt barely fits outside the oval hole which has been drilled on the flange. This design will cause the bar stool to experience premature failure under normal use. Eventually the bolt will come loose after a short period of time, then the mount and/or the seat will rip out of the little bit of thread that holds it in place and you will have to throw the bar stool in the trash.. I guess that's why the instructions tell you to check the bolts every 90 days and tighten them. So I took it upon myself to improve the design by going to the local home improvement store and purchasing what in my opinion would be a much better set of hardware(Why I deducted another star.) Along with some green thread locker and fender washers and lockwashers I have very likely avoided the premature failure of the screws and the attachment. We'll see how they hold up over time.

I cannot believe how nice these look. They were very easy to put together and they look perfect for my condo. Being a condo space is at a premium but it doesn't mean you have to give up style . Very worth the money. I can now remove my dining room table which takes up way too much space.

Easy to assemble, nice quality for the price but one stool arrived damaged. I contacted the seller, they said they'd replace the seat but never did and I never heard back again with a followup. Therefore I cant recommend these stools.

I was hesitant about ordering these stools after reading warnings that they may tip over. I'm glad I bought them anyway. The stools were very easy to put together, they are comfortable and look great in our bar area. The base is wide enough that they are stable but they are not obtrusive and sticking too far out. We really like them!

I bought these for my daughter's breakfast bar. They looked nice online and even out of the box until they sat on them. The stools sink down about 10 inches when any weight is applied. They are useless at her breakfast bar. She tried to get them apart so she could return them, but they were stuck in the down position and would not come apart. So she is stuck with them. We are very unhappy. Don't waste your money on these.

I received them today put them together (they are extremely easy to assemble) and sat on them for 5min and the chair started to sag, I was loosing height. First off, my things tend to last forever because I take care of them. The parts and pieces composing these stools seem fairly sturdy. They are not absolutely perfect by any means; they don't seem heavy duty or high performance. However, I believe they will last me the life of my intended use. I would like to give them 5 stars but what would I give something that was made of heavy duty materials? Thus, a strong 4 stars. Thanks!

I wanted cheap chairs to go at my island so my son can do homework. That’s exactly what I got. They come in a box with styrofoam that gets everywhere (you can see it in my picture on the floor before I cleaned it up). These chairs are really easy to put together. If your child has a greasy hand and touches it it absorbs the grease like no other. In the image you’ll see max and minimum height of the chairs. The weight limit is 250lbs but that’s pushing it. My husband weighs 202 and the chair starts to sink. Keep your guests and your (weight) in mind and the purpose of the chairs before you order. They look nice at the island but like I mentioned my husband cannot sit in them. They serve the purpose to what we bought them for and for the price you can’t beat it.
