Set name: 5-Pc Dining Set
I’m working on creating a backyard sanctuary of modest means. We just installed a new privacy fence and are planning to expand the patio and update landscaping. Of course we needed a patio set upgrade! Our old set was falling apart after 15 years or so of loyal service. I wanted a set that would stand up to Midwest weather and last the rest of our lives. This set (& manufacturer) fit the criteria. Quality build at half the price of brand name competition. The pieces are of good weight but not so heavy that they become nearly impossible to move. The material (HDPE) is durable, easy to clean, and has held up well in the short time (1 month) we’ve used them. Overall, I am very impressed and satisfied with the purchase. We were able to purchase much more - given the price point - than we would have if we’d gone with a name brand. Best of all were the two swivel chairs I added as an afterthought to this dining set annd 3 other pieces! Absolutely love them for comfort and functionality. So glad I added them! Compared to the dining chairs, which aren’t the most comfortable (see below), these swivel chairs are worth every penny!! CONS: the dining chairs. Love that we could get all 4 as arm chairs (bad knees means I need to use the arms getting up/down). Their downfall is lack of comfort. The seat needs to be at least 2 inches deeper and sloped slightly more towards the back. As they are now, you feel pitched forward in them and overly (rigidly) upright while seated in them. While I initially thought that this would make them more comfortable for actual dining at the table, I found that the swivel chairs were far superior in that regard. While I prefer the style of the armchairs, I/we much prefer the comfort of the Adirondack swivel chairs. While these pieces went together well and quickly enough with two (older) adults and a power drill, the build is not one-person friendly. Particularly without a power screwdriver. I built the first chair solo with the Allen wrench provided; it took me 45 min compared to 15 min with another person and a power drill. My carpal tunnel and numb fingers probably added to the build time, especially solo, but the pieces are on the heavy/awkward side for one person to hold in place while screwing together. Whether this is a “con” or not is entirely subjective. A few other build observations: insert the bolts before you screw pieces together! The instructions have you screwing before bolting; this is wrong. Reason being: the bolt holes are pre-drilled and the holes don’t always align. If you screw the pieces together first you’ll have zero give to wrangle those bolt holes into alignment. Also, we had at least two tongue & groove joints that we had to dremel in order to make them align and fit. A few bolt holes needed cleaning up with the dremel as well. No biggie; not a surprising lack of tight QC given the cost savings. A fair trade off IMO, and I am a stickler for quality workmanship. In the end, none of these issues are visible or alter functionality. Though we did encounter a stripped pre-drilled piece in one of the swivel chair bases. Haven’t noticed any loss of function, however. As to the instructions: they are clear enough for most handy people to easily follow. The temptation may be to eschew them after build 1 of 4 (chairs) but doing so on the glider chair set we also purchased made for installing one of the bases upside down and not noticing for a day (& scratching what ended up being the upward-facing part of the base on the concrete pavers). A minor irritation is managing rain (& snow) when our previous sling style chairs retained neither to any extent. We now must keep a rag/towel handy to wipe off chairs before we are able to sit. For those who are unable to stand for any length of time, say, while dogs need to potty at midnight, this is a big inconvenience. One final mention of color, since we purchased the blue color in all of our pieces and others have mentioned that the blue they receive is more navy than the lighter, nautical blue shown in the images online. One of our end tables came in the lighter, nautical color shown online, while all the remaining pieces are the darker, more navy blue color. Both are aesthetically appealing; I might have preferred the lighter color but am fine with what we received. Guessing that dye lots are the cause of the color variation. I saw a seller that was offering a rocking chair in a ‘multi-blue’ color, or words to that effect. I would’ve loved it if all of my pieces came in various shades of blue!! I love variegated hues. Overall, we love the set and other pieces purchased (2 side tables, shower bench, a storage bench, 2 swivel/glider chairs, plus the 5-piece dining set). Highly recommend. We’ll no doubt be back to add two more swivel/gliders to our collection!

The quality of this set is great!! The weight of each item is better than I expected. The chairs are very comfortable. Although the installation was pretty easy, it does take some time, especially if you do it by yourself. I would highly suggest using a drill! I can’t wait to enjoy this outdoor set this summer and for many more years to come!

The chairs were challenging to put together. The table was easier to assemble. There is a bit of a difference in the color of the chairs. I still like the set and it is comfortable. Delivery came in 3 different boxes on 3 different days.

From purchasing and assembling 100s of items throughout life, I can tell they put some care and effort into creating a quality product considering the price point. We're satisfied customers!

Nice quality. Sturdy so the wind will not blow over. Stainless steel screws and bolts. Takes time to put together, but everything fit well and the instructions were clear. Had a shipping issue; however, Serwall was great to work with. They resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Just purchased the glider because Serwall was great to deal with.

This was a gift for my son and daughter in law. They love it and it will be perfect for year round NC weather. We have Serwall furniture in Florida for over 5 years and it still looks new. Highly recommend Serwall for outdoor furniture.

This is a very nice sturdy patio dining set. I like that the Navy is darker than what appears on the site. It does take some time to put together. The table was the easiest and was pretty quick. The bolts and screws are thick and long and adds to the sturdiness and overall value. The holes matched up well for us. We assembled 2 chairs per day because they are time consuming, but if you used electric tools it would probably go together faster. A previous dining set that we had bought through another business was not sturdy and several pieces blew to parts unknown in a windstorm/small tornado situation. For a few hundred dollars more we feel like this set will not have as much of a problem standing up to wind. I would definitely buy from this seller again. The chairs and the table arrived on different days but the support staff was quick to respond to my concern of whether the set came in different shipments.

Overall I’m happy with this set. I assembled it entirely on my own. Better with two people if you can, but definitely possible to do with one. Chairs comfortable without a cushion. 4 stars because table has a single dent on the edge.
