We have been using this mattress for over a month and I am extremely pleased. We have an old Serta mattress that has been going strong for almost 18 years, but I knew it was time for a replacement. It was a little nervous because our old one was extremely firm and even my adult kids say it’s the best mattress they’ve ever slept on when they come over to visit This mattress has amazing support. I am a side sleeper, and my husband sleeps on his back. No complaints from either of us. The price seems a little steep, but the quality is up there with the best. You get what you pay for and also it is more environmentally friendly than a lot of mattresses out there. If it is anything like my last Serta mattress, it will be around for a very long time. Now I can finally donate my old mattress since I’m sure this one will be around for a long time. It also keeps me cool, which is really important.     • Great mattress, not so great delivery with NO set up

I’m doing this review basically in 2 parts because one review is for the mattress itself and the other review is for my experience getting a mattress sight unseen and without laying on it off Amazon. First, the mattress: both me and my husband have bad backs so we really needed to get a firm mattress. And wow, this one is very firm. It definitely has a lot of support and I can tell this mattress is quality made. It’s a little too firm for me so I got a twin size mattress, topper add-on for my side of the bed (separate purchase), but my husband has been very happy with his side of the bed and we’ve noticed an improvement in the quality of our sleep and waking up with less sore backs. Ordering and delivery: here’s where things went a little bonkers because we selected the extra option for Amazon to haul away our existing mattress. I guess I did not look at the fine print too closely because one thing that was missing were the words “set up”. Shipping was pretty quick. It only took about a week for us to be notified of the date. The mattress would be delivered with a separate confirmation for when our existing mattress would be hauled away. Apparently this is handled by two different companies. We were assigned a time when the mattress would be delivered with our existing mattress hauled away a few hours later with a different truck. Here’s where things got quite annoying because the truck that delivered the mattress left it in front of my garage. They claimed they were not contracted to actually take the mattress inside the house into the bedroom, or “set up”. Our bedroom is on the third floor! I started to panic because there’s absolutely no way me and my husband would be able to carry a king-size mattress up three flights of stairs. I asked the freight company what I was supposed to do and I was told “call some friends maybe?” I even offered to pay the greight company to please send their guys back and I’d pay them but nope, no dice. I contacted the mattress hauling away company to see if they would please carry the new mattress upstairs when take our old mattress away. They told me no, even though I also offered to pay them! As luck would have it, apparently their truck broke down and they were unable to show up to haul our mattress away on schedule. They needed to reschedule for the following day. I told them no problem, as long as they promised to carry the new mattress upstairs and they finally agreed. In the end, the new mattress was carried upstairs for us and our old mattress was taken away, but it didn’t occur to me that set up would not be included in the ordering off here. So just keep that in mind if you are considering getting a mattress off of Amazon. ... show more

𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: Super firm. Not recommended for side-sleepers. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 🏗️ Super firm, like firmer than the kind of foam they put in those ‘boneless’ couches. Super supporting, but honestly might be more firm than most will like. 🛏️ Overall sleep comfort is still solid though. The memory foam still lightly conforms enough to feel supportive without that pure rock-hard feeling you get with some firm mattresses. 🌊 The surface is pretty smooth despite the weird texture surface they have, which causes issues with sheets sliding around when you move at night. If you toss and turn like I do, expect to deal with wrinkled sheets in the morning since they don't grip well to the mattress surface. Overall, I’d recommend it, maybe at a slightly softer level if you’re a side sleeper. Didn’t give much stock to Serta saying this is only for back sleepers, but they’re right generally. ... show more
