I ordered this B2 bomber kite as part of my husband’s Father’s Day gift so he could have something fun to do with our boys, and honestly, just opening the box already has me excited to give it to him. My husband and sons have never actually owned a kite before, despite all of us constantly seeing people flying them on nice windy days and thinking, “Okay, that actually looks really fun.” So this felt like the perfect first kite setup for them. First off, the presentation is surprisingly nice. It comes packaged much nicer than I expected, not tossed into a sad plastic bag like some dollar store parachute waiting for its final flight into a power line. The B2 bomber design looks seriously cool in person too. My husband is a mechanic and absolutely into aircraft, military style stuff, and anything remotely manly that can be launched dramatically into the sky, so this was basically made for him. From inspecting everything out of the box, the materials actually look solid. The kite fabric feels durable, the rods do not feel flimsy, and the included reel looks much sturdier than I expected. The setup instructions also seem pretty straightforward, which I appreciate because nobody wants Father’s Day turning into a 2 hour rage session with mystery poles and bad translations. I also really liked that this comes with the little alloy bomber display model too. That was an unexpected extra touch that makes it feel more gift worthy instead of just “here babe, enjoy your airborne bedsheet.” The whole set honestly feels thoughtfully put together. We have not officially flown it yet since I am saving it for next month, but based on the quality, design, and overall first impression, I am genuinely impressed so far and fully expect this to become one of those fun family things they go out and do together regularly. For a first time kite setup, especially for dads and kids who love airplanes, this one looks incredibly promising.

For some reason I thought this was something else .... I must not have read closely or maybe the picture mislead me. I'm not sure what happened but anyways: This is a Kite + a toy. The kit is pretty nice, considering. The string reel is very nice. It is like an affordable version of a semi-professional type kite. For 20bucks, It is a very nice kite + string reel combo. But wait - there's more: The B2 toy is not just a display piece ! It is the pull-back and let go wind up racer type. It has lights and a VERY LOUD obnoxious speaker that makes all kinds of racket. It goes pretty fast and far, better than what I expected, especially considering I didn't know it was animated in the first place. It does have a. display stand but not sure that would ever get used. The part that confuses me though is: The toy is for younger kids. BUT the kite is for older kids. IMO Kind of a strange combo. But for 20bucks, if you need a semi-pro/like kite and a cheapo wind up toy, together in one package, you found it ! Packaging is beautiful and sturdy. Kite has a storage bag included. For the price I still give it 5/5

For a child gift, this has good presentation just in how it is so nicely boxed together with a bundle of contents. All with the B2 theme. The kite itself should be easy to fly in its design and air dynamics, not needing a stabilization tail, and not too much pull for a young child. (The central keel in my opinion from experience should be a little larger, though would only matter in only stronger winds.) The string winder also is a good design and should hold up in use in my view, though note its central grip is designed for a smaller hand and would be a slightly bit snug for a large adults hand. Though this is mainly designed for younger children anyway. As to the metal B2 model this package comes with, it is only its top that is metal, and its underside is plastic. (The B2 model in the package I received was defective, likely a fluke, where the underside was warped with a sharp edge on one wing. Only mentioning to suggest you look it over before you gift it.) Also there were no instructions with that B2 model I received. So, ha, it took a few minutes to figure how you activate its lights and sounds. Its front landing gear you have to press in momentarily, which works as its on button, then performing its lights and sounds for 30 seconds. Its rear landing gear has a spring and gear mechanism for forward rolling motion, that you roll backward a bit to charge its spring tension. A child would likely be amused.

This is a much cooler kite than any I have owned and most that I have seen. Of course I received it after several days of good winds had died down and it took a while to be able to try it out. The first thing I noticed is how much everyone else noticed it. People kept coming over asking me about it. There is something about the design that makes it stand out. I think it's partly that, like the B2, it looks like it shouldn't fly but does. It certainly doesn't look like a standard kite. Thankfully they left off streamers and similar accouterments so it's just the B2 flying high in the sky. I would think this would be a perfect gift for many guys. The display model you can enjoy regardless of the weather and the kite is a good way to get you outside on windy days. I haven't mastered the stunt aspect but I was able to dip and flip it easily. It's quite calming to get it up in the air and try different maneuvers. This is an excellent value and a lot of fun.

Apparently I did not understand this product completely. I was under the impression that it was a kite that was able to attach to a B2 Model (that is battery powered), and was able to fly even if the wind was minimal. Nope its a B2 model with stand and makes noise and lights up. And a large B2 canvas kite. It does come with a pretty cool tether spool for the line, it reels in like a fishing line. So no fighting with tangled lines. The kite also breaks down to store away in a provided bag when not in use.

I ordered this airplane kite and model plane set not really knowing what to expect. I was a little bit confused by the photos, but I thought it was something that my sons could put together as a project. When they opened it, they said that the model plane was already put together and that it is one of those retractable toy vehicles with lights. We thought that you somehow use the model plane as a launcher for the kite, but it's not really that strong. The kite itself is made of the same material as, let's say, a tent. One of my sons did take it outside to fly it, and he liked the performance of the kite itself, but not the kite string. The kite string comes on a huge roll with a lot of slack, and that caused him to get it tangled pretty badly. He also got it caught in the power line, and my husband had to get it unstuck. I think their overall takeaway from this is that it looks cool, but they got bored with it very quickly. They are 12 and 13 years old, and I think they're just going to hang the kite on the wall and display the plane because it looks cool.

This B2 kite set turned out to be a really fun and unique find for our family. What makes it stand out is the combination of two different experiences in one package. An outdoor activity with the stunt kite and a detailed aircraft model that works nicely as a display piece indoors. It feels like a thoughtful combo for both kids and adults who enjoy aviation themes. The kite itself seems well built and it has very clear, vibrant and cool details. The included reel and line would make it easier to control. Overall flying kites with the kids is always a fun activity and and having something that is interesting to look at makes the experience even better. NOW... let's get to the alloy B-2 model. Here is where I have mixed feelings and can't really not give it a good review because this is catered more for kids than adults. So, I've been teaching my kids about military aircraft and aviation history, so having a recognizable bomber model alongside the kite made the experience even more engaging for them. The model looks good enough to use as room or office decoration, giving the set value even when you’re not outside flying the kite. I would have wanted the stand to be a better or stronger built but if placed far away from where kids could play with it often it should hold well. Consider getting a new stand if you want to just have it as s how piece. The model is well built and has great details, but I kind of got lost with the will set and sound effects. The wheels wind up so you can have the plane slide for a few inches like a toy car but I believe those were not necessary. The light effects are cool, but the sound effects give it more of a toy feel than a serious model. I believe these 2 features can be removed at all. I would leave the model plane stand on it's own without the winding wheels and without the sound effects. It's really good looking and could have passed as a high end unit without those. Overall, this is a creative and enjoyable package that combines outdoor family fun with an educational and collectible aspect. It makes a great gift idea for kids interested in airplanes and looking for something a little different for outdoor activities.
