This is a good mattress pad. It fits well, has deep reach with the attached sides, good elastic, and a reasonable fill. It's not super thick, all pictures of these sorts of products exaggerate the fill, like the picture of a burger at McD's. But it's pretty good. Maybe an inch of rise to it in it's daily-use state. It is ACTUALLY hypoallergenic. Unlike numerous things which claim to be on amazon (trust me, i'd know). Mine is on top of a 2" natural latex pad (on a very firm, but very durable, mattress). The latex does 'far' more for cushioning an overly firm mattress. This just adds a breathable & soft top layer. I'm very happy with the combo. If you wanted this to soften a bed, I don't think it would be sufficient, it's too soft for that. Anywhere there's real weight, it compresses completely and basically "bottoms out". It more just cradles up around where you lay to cradle you a bit in a way which doesn't feel supportive, but does feel 'cozy'. That's really what this is for. And it does that well. If you want padding, get latex (beats memory foam any day of the week and twice on tuesdays). If you want a cozy top, this is great. If you want both, they're great together. ... show more

I bought 2 of these at 2 separate times but within the same week and they are very soft and comfortable and fit the bed very nicely. One of them had stains on it and when I went to go put it on the bed you could hear the material Fall apart and pull away from each other at the. Seams, so the other one is in great condition, no stains. It's you get what you get, I guess? The one looks like it was used. They were air tight, but maybe they put it in there and then made it air tight. I don't know. ... show more

The elastic that fits it to the mattress has held the position well. Since purchasing I have noticed a difference in my lower back when I wake up.
