pretty good quality, good grip held up to some abused used this past week to remove some wheel hub bearings and stood up to abuse. Just wish they came in with some type of case and come in a cheap plastic holder.

I seem to be the first individual to purchase this impact set? Here is what I found upon receipt. The sockets seem to be of well formed steel and phosphate coated. Major disappointment is sockets are shipped in a very flimsy plastic tray which arrived cracked and broken. Should have been in a molded plastic or metal case!! Also missing was a smaller diameter "O Ring" to fit the smaller sockets and retain the locking pin. Overall, without actually using these impact sockets yet, I would say that the price is a good value if they hold up under hard impact use without splitting.     • Great socket set for the money
Haven’t used them much but the little I have the work for what they’re intended. Time will tell if the hold up I’m pretty rough on tools and use them a lot in my profession.

    • Really nice socket set
I bought this socket set and I was surprised that they are very well made. I tried them out putting new brake pads on my 2006 Honda Accord. They are nice and made very durable for the price. I would recommend this socket set to anyone.

I took these up to a local garage, where they could give these a real test.. They used them on an air gun, and cranked on it at full power, and they held up great.. We then took a 1/2" breaker bar, and put our full weight on it, which is over 250 pounds, and they held up to that kind of pressure also.. I then asked the mechanic to try them out for a few days, and after 4 days of constant use, they are still in good condition.. So do they hold up good.. Yup.. But I can not verify how strong their impact was, so no comment as to the torque that it put out.. My complaints.. This comes with a 1/4" to 1/2" adapter so these can be used on an impact driver.. This is good.. But if you are going to be using these with an impact driver, then you most likely are going to be traveling, and taking this set with you to where you are working with them.. A plastic tray, which is great if you are going to just have them sitting in the drawer of a tool box, is not good for travel.. With that being said, they need 2 versions of these.. This version, and then a set with a blow molded case.. This way, if you are going to have then in a tool box, this setup would work better.. But if you are taking the set with you to another location, then the blow molded set would be better.. Just tack on a couple of dollars for the case.. Just to note.. Since it never claimed to come with a case, and if you are just putting them in a tool box, then the blow molded case would be useless to you, so I am not taking anything off for this.. Just something to consider. I did not use or try the 1/4" adapter, so no comment about its quality.. ... show more

What I received was great, but was missing one size, the 15mm, of course it was the size I needed the most. I ended up using a chrome socket instead, but I wish the seller would fix this discrepancy for me. Will update the review if they do.
