It's pretty low. I would have rated it five stars if it were at least 2 in taller at the seat. Currently the seating height is 13 in. Otherwise the proportions are pretty decent. I ordered a biege colored sofa despite a 40% markup on price compared to the lowest priced variant for a good reason. It looks pretty natural and decent in my living room. Also it's pretty light and has a clean look. I would suggest that they bring down the price for this version so that more people would enjoy the sofa. I would also like to add a special note of thanks to the manufacturer for the care they have taken to segregate the packaging. The unboxing experience was delightful except for the fact that I couldn't find a decent way to open the outer box and the sofa fell right on my shins above the ankle when opening the box. Maybe they could slightly improve the packaging in such a way that it doesn't become difficult to open without harming on self. Nevertheless I can see the care Serta have taken to pack the item to give the customer a lovely opening experience they deserve. ... show more

Bought 2 of these. 1 came nice with no defects, the other had a broken lock on 1 side of the futon so I couldn't put it on its sofa setting. Had it replaced only to get another futon with rips and tear from the bottom. Was able to get a partial refund, but it sucks getting a mishandled futon. Whether it be they weren't made properly or they were tossed around during packaging or something. Other than that it's comfortable and looks nice. ... show more

So we had to exchange this for a larger size but, it is perfect for a studio, children, teenagers, and college students. It is shorter than a twin size bed. Remember this when you are thinking of the person sleeping on it.

We have large animals 142 lb dog. He did step on the bottom of it while we were putting together. Put a small hole in underneath arterial. Did not effect top or esthetics. Looks pretty good.

Great in small areas, looks great... Easy to assemble.. but not too comfortable. A bit stiff and you will have to lay down a comforter or pad on top of you plan to have someone sleep on it.. it's a good value, good purchase.. and good looking. I like it.

I am a green connoisseur and the shade of green represented under the product description on Amazon is not the shade that was delivered. I’m happy with it but I would’ve preferred it the lighter green. I bought this so guests could sleep on it and if they were a midget it would work out fine. It looks beautiful in my office but sleeping on it is probably out of the question. Unboxing it and moving it myself with a feat in itself but in the end mission accomplished! I stalked the driver on the Amazon app while he was delivering so I could intervene and get him to put the box inside my house. 😂 thank you technology! ... show more

I personally live in a studio apartment and use this to sleep on night, easily fold it up as a couch when company is over, for a Futon it is quite comfy especially for the price. It arrived early and takes up very little space, all I had to assemble was the legs (twist 4 legs to the bottom of the frame) ... show more
