We love the final product, it is a work of art and gives our back deck a warm and friendly appearance. Two things: Buy some different glass pebbles, preferably the aqua blue glass ones. The ones included are brown and not very pleasant to look at. Amazon sells the blue glass ones separately for about $20. Second, it took my wife and I 2.5 hours to assemble it. The instructions are not easy to follow and you have to occasionally step back and just figure out how it should go together. Its not hard to do, but you can't rely on the instructions alone. Also, a couple of the screw holes are poorly drilled. Don't be upset if you can't get in all the screws. There are enough that will go in to hold it all together. But it is worth the effort to take time and get it together. It is a fantastic product. We run the flames and sit on opposite sides. There is more than a sufficient ledge to put plates and drinks on. We just used it the other night when the temp outside was about 50 degrees and it was perfect. Kept us comfortable and the glass around the flames just adds the lovely ambience of the fire. This propane fire pit is ideal for use on my new wood deck. It creates a wonderful ambiance and warmth that I felt was missing. Many evenings I go outside to relax for half an hour to an hour on my deck and I like the simplicity of being able to turn this on and enjoy a lovely, warm fire while I do so. There is a battery powered igniter switch that makes turning it on super easy. The flames are beautiful to watch and give off nice warmth as well. The table is a generous size for a group of about 6 or so to gather around and enjoy the warmth. The flame itself it very nice, it looks really pretty flickering through the blue glass. The flame transforms from blue to flickering yellow and has good distribution throughout the entire bowl. I think it radiates a nice amount of heat if I’m sitting close. I like the pretty tile table surround that not only looks nice but is a handy place to set my cup of tea. It really is a stunner. Everyone I’ve had over to hang out has been impressed with this fire pit table. The table is weather resistant and I mostly leave it ready to use all the time because I use it so frequently. For long term storage, there is a durable cover to protect it as well. I’ll use the cover over the winter. This has become my preference to starting a wood fire in my fire pit. No smelly clothes, no dodging smoke, no chopping wood, no cleanup. This is simple, beautiful and warm. My kids can even roast their marshmallows. ... show more

This is absolutely gorgeous both as a firepit and as a table when not in use. It is super easy to transfer from one to the other simply by adding the lid back to the top of the pit to cover. The pit is sturdy made steel and so nice to have on cooler nights. I mean seriously who doesn't love a good time during around the fire in the comfort of your own backyard? There is no ash or smoke due to its propane base so it's super clean and healthy for both you and the environment. The base of the firepit easily hides away a 20lbs propane tank (which is not included but sold at pretty much any convenience store or home improvement store) We used the one we already had right off our grill, and it was super easy to transfer from one to the other. The door provides super easy access to transfer the propane tank in and out as you need. It truly is made to last with a sturdy weather resistant heavy-duty metal. It's extremely stable and i don't at all worry about accidental tip over. They even include a pvc cover for the less climacticly friendly months so it is super easy to keep nice, clean, and solid. It only took me and my husband a few minutes to put together with 4 panels, the top, the control panel and burner plus the pre-assembled gas hose regulator. It was really quiet simple and the instructions were very easy to follow and read. It additionally came with 6.6 lbs of decorative lave rock that burn beautifully without actually burning at all! ... show more

This unit does what it is designed to do, specifically to provide warmth and ambiance. It was easy to assemble and sufficiently sturdy for the application. Note that the cover has stitched seams, and this may allow water to seep through during rain. I purchased another cover and use both in order to protect this investment. I would suggest purchasing glass beads instead of using the provided lava rock. It gives the unit a high end look, and the glass color can be tailored to suit your taste (ours matches the tones of our pool). I bought this as a gift for my wife, and she loves it. ... show more

So a fire pit is typically made for using outside. This one is apparently made for using inside. This product became completely rusted all over within a week of being outside. It is a piece of junk! And of course I have no box to pack it up and return.

The fire pit is definitely not all weather as it rusted very easily and the heat from the use of it cause the pain[coating] to char off and flake away ; meaning that the material used for it was not heat resistant. My family and I got tired of making s’mores on the stove so we invested in this fire pit. This fire pit is really nice because it has a place to store the wood right underneath. It comes with a poker so you can move the wood around easily. It also comes with a cooking frame if you wanted to use it to grill some food.
