Set name: 8000 BTU Cooling No Wifi
This little air conditioner stands about 3 and a half feet high (read the specs on the product web page in Amazon). It moves on casters, which makes it easy to move out of the way - it's heavy for its size. Due to its BTU capacity, it's really meant for a bedroom or other small room. Initially, it generates a lot of condensation. So you have to watch it as it cools down a room!! It will fill a 1 gallon bottle in very little time. However, once it has cooled a room sufficiently, then the condensation production slows. You should keep the door to the room closed so that more humid air does not enter. Also, don't go to bed before the coolness in the room has stabilized. Otherwise, you will flood your carpet! It is somewhat low in noise generation. It comes with a window sleeve with a hole in it and an accordian style venting hose. When setting up the unit, you install the window sleeve, stretch the venting hose until it meets the window sleeve, connect the condensation drainage tube put the end of the tube in the large empty bottle for containing the condensation and away you go. I set the settings for 71 F degrees and a moderate fan speed. This little air conditioner seems to do the job. I don't need more because we live up in the mountains where we have few uncomfortably hot and humid days. I'd recommend this product to everyone who wants to cool just one little room without going through the hassle of installing a large heavy air conditioner for only a small number of uncomfortable nights. ... show more

Set name: 8000 BTU Cooling No Wifi
This is written after trying to get help from the company. I asked to speak with someone who was familiar with the A/C unit but I just got emails. No person. The good news is cool air comes out the front. The bad news is hot air comes out the back. The end result is that the room stays the same temperature. So you have to sit right in front of it. That is fine for only one person. It comes with a window installation kit but it doesn’t say it has to be placed in a window. If it did I would not have purchased it. It comes with an exhaust tube. If you connect it you get the same hot air but 2 feet away from the unit. The room temp stays the same. I am not returning it because it is too heavy for me to take back. For less than $300 you can't go wrong here, this portable air conditioner works very well. Actually works better than my old black n decker portable ac ever did. Pros: -Cools down small rooms better than I expected -Not especially loud -Projects air out in roughly 120-100 degree cone, so you can be sitting diagonally from it on either side and the cool air will still hit you. -Easy to use and set up. I'm posting this review after a year of having this set up in my art studio which is on the second floor of a concrete building with no insulation, tall ceilings and large windows that get direct hot sun all through the summer and fall. The room gets very hot, even with blinds and shades. This unit does a great job of cooling down the space so it's bearable. I'm very happy with this purchase. Not sure how long it will last but so far it's been great ... show more

Overall, good AC unit, cools the room well. Our only complaint is the fan will not stay running, with the AC turning on and off as needed. We prefer the fan to stay on, while we have the unit on, with the AC starting and stopping as needed. Instead, once the room reaches temperature, the entire unit shuts down. As with any AC unit, once it turns back on, you can hear it, which seems to me to be a standard noise level. Called the company 2 different times, they said the fan should run and the AC to to turn off and on as needed. It's a good unit, but we probably wouldn't purchase it again because of this, but we have it now. If that doesn't bother you, the unit is a great value for the money. ... show more
