1 of 2: 1. I bought the 18,000 Aura mini-split April of 2023. It has been working great! We have a 1000 square foot cabin with a propane heater and baseboard heat. This thing heats the cabin way cheaper than the reduced cost of "off-peak" electric. The noisy window AC is gone. Haven't used the propane or baseboard heat since the Senville went in. I installed this and it took most of a day. I have a vacuum pump, a gauge set, and a flaring tool. There are videos describing how to use these tools to install a Senville or any mini-split. I have been a licensed electrician for 40 years and have my universal refrigeration certificate so the install went pretty well for me. 2. After about 13 months the unit tripped the circuit breaker and quit working. I called Senville customer service. Immediately I got a knowledgeable person on the phone. He asked a few simple questions and then sent a new circuit board via Fed Ex. 3 days later I spent about an hour installing the part and it is now working great again. I have worked as master electrician for a school district, a college, and an engineering firm where I have dealt with repairs and parts. Customer service doesn't get any better than my experience here.

Nice quiet unit. Have it in a large 3 car garage and it cools with ease. Simple diy install no professional needed. This need gauge and vacuum pump to put a suction on the system before Turing the valves on and letting Freon in the lines, only thing that would make it better is if the drain hose and supply power cord it came with we’re the same length as the refrigerant lines to be able to run them out all together. 2 mouths in been working great. Blows ice cold air and most of the time it is this idling.

Very easy to install if you know what you are doing. Mini split units are easy to do. This unit draws between 3 and 4 amps per leg full blast under heavy load. 240 single phase. For the love of God please stop putting nm cable in conduit as I have seen in multiple split installs, it is against code. Use THWN or THHN that can be used in wet locations. Make sure you have a nice concentric flare tool, and a vacuum for the line set. This is very well made, super quiet and super efficient. Can't say enough good about this unit. For the btu output it has I can't believe how little power this heat pump uses. This i great for bumper days with hydronic heat and a combi boiler. It can help on risky short cycle days. And the air conditioner works like a charm. Make sure and maintain it well keeping the outside unit clean as well as the inside. Both should be cleaned at least yearly. It is huge on your wall so be prepared for that. Don't skimp on your install quality and make sure you properly run the condensate drain. It is a nice looking unit, but please start making them black. 🙂 Thanks Sennville for a great split unit at a great price. I plan to install more of these in the future.

We're very pleased with our 18k btu Senville Aura. I'd been hesitant about heat pumps for years, but after a long winter, and running out of firewood—plus the increasing threat of heat and smoke in the summertime here in California—I jumped in with this unit. Install was easy (I'm an experienced builder—DIY not recommended), and the unit has worked flawlessly from day 1. It went in during the late spring, which meant we used it initially as a heater; now we're using it daily to keep our house cool. We have grid-tied solar, so I added a few extra panels and it's basically running for free. It's very quiet, and remarkably efficient. It's currently 90° outside, and I have it set to 70° inside; even with the dishwasher running, our entire house is only drawing 1800w total—with the Aura running. Downstairs is about 1200 sqft, and the 18k unit *easily* cools it. The included wifi card and Alexa integration were a little fussy to get working, but once in and setup, it's great. No hub required. Highly recommended.

Bought the 33,000 unit for my oversized garage. The unit is really nice and cools as I’d expect. Installation wasn’t bad for a first timer. The instructions could be better. I couldn’t get the app to work as I couldn’t connect to the WiFi. I even had an IT guy out and the signal wasn’t broadcasting. Tried connecting through the Alexa app and it worked right away. A quick search says this is a common issue.
