I tried the calming collar for our dachshund based upon a trusted expert. I didn’t see a noticeable difference for my dog during his two weeks of wear. Unfortunately, he stopped wearing after somehow being able to chew it to pieces.

It truly works very well for our dog. He recognizes it when it is time to change it. While I am adjusting the collar, he tries to put his head in the new collar. They last a little over three months for our golden retriever. We can tell when it is time as his anxiety starts to increase. We have tried other calming tricks, oils, etc. Sure each pet is different in how they react or respond. For our dog he truly loves it when we get a new one for him. We hope this is helpful!!!... I have a very anxious two dogs. I'd like to start this by saying, I know ahead of time, this would not change their behavior 100%. Smell: Nice pleasant kind of baby powdery smell. Look: It looks like a plastic collar. Its not the most attractive thing, but they're not show dogs. Effective: This in combo with the treats calms them about 20%. I don't think that's terrible for an over the counter product. Fit: Easy to fit to the size you need, and to trim off the excess. Overall: I do have a subscription for these. I have been using this product for the past 5 or 6 years with success, but this particular shipment had a barely perceptible scent. I could not find an expiration date on the product, but I wonder if it was expired or defective.

I bought two of these one for each of my anxious dogs. If you want to blow your money for a decent smelling calming collar, this is the product for you. However, if you want the product to be effective, stay away from this one. It is useless. This product a waste of my very hard-earned money.
