OK, you just got your kids an Oculus Quest 2, and the strap it came with is a bear to deal with. It doesn’t fit right and your kids, husband and now YOU are complaining about this gift. Enter this head strap. I was skeptical, but somewhat “desperate” because I sank a small fortune in the Oculus and it wasn’t being enjoyed the way it should because the head strapping system it comes with may be good for some heads but not all. I should note I am the least handy person. I cannot build anything, so I was worried about the assembly. But, it really was easy! It all starts to make sense intuitively. Look at the diagrams in the instructions and be patient. Again, it’s a breeze, so don’t sweat it. Now, the outcome - AMAZING! Great fit, sturdy feel and comfortable. It really feels like a proper VR device now, and my daughter is thrilled. Better yet, switching between users is so much easier with this nifty device! So, if you have more than one kid trying to get in on the action, or a bored gamer husband with an oversized melon, well he can jump in and play too. Pros - value. Compare against other more expensive brands. This gets the job done with breaking your budget (again!) Pros- Comfort and stable feel on the head. I've only had this installed on my Quest 2 for a few days, but I already can say it's significantly better than the original headband. I have a sinus/sinus passage-related issue that's been a long term problem (as in well over 20 years now) and anything that puts pressure on my sinuses can and will resort in crippling sinus migraines. The strap that came with the Quest 2 was extremely prone to causing these by putting excessive pressure on the sinuses around the top of my eyes. This head strap is far better. It has a significant improvement in that the weight is evenly distributed and not front-heavy. It gives a fit that reminds me of the PlayStation VR, so if you like that particular headset this is probably going to make you happier with your Quest 2. Installation instructions are not great, however, so I'm going to do my best to explain the process for this here: 1. You need to take the old strap off. You specifically need to be very VERY careful with this. When you get to the left and right side plastic pieces, you're removing the *inner* pieces that are snapped into place, *not* the whole arm. There are speakers in the arms and if you rip those out you've permanently damaged your headset. I'd suggest looking at a YouTube video about removal of the Quest 2 head strap so you can see exactly how to do this. 2. The arms are split into two plastic pieces for each side. They're marked with L and R respectively, and those are left and right from looking *into* the headset, not looking from the front towards the back. 3. Here's the part that they didn't describe well: The arms are two pieces, with a plastic nub that snaps into place to keep the two together. That nub *also* needs to go through the arms of the back piece. You need to use the knob to extend the arms all the way to maximum range, then enclose one arm in the two pieces while snapping it into the headset's arm (where the speakers are) It's not really that hard once you know exactly what it is you need to do, but the instructions provided are a bit vague, and that's why I took one star off. I'm going to repeat that I've only had this installed for a few days so it's too early to see if it'll hold up in the long term. If I have any problems, this review will absolutely get changed to reflect them. ... show more

This is such a nice strap! It makes family VR times so much faster to change the headset for everyone. Very nicely made. Now the only bad thing is the straps that run along the side of the head could stand to be designed a little more above the ears. If you adjust everything it'll be ok but you have to be conscious of it putting it on otherwise it's a bit uncomfortable. But I don't regret the purchase at all. I'd buy it again! ... show more

I was on the hunt for a comfortable head band to replace the stock one that came with the VR and this is wonderful. I do not have pressure and it's very comfortable especially when playing FitXR. Plus it's great when switching from one player to another, so easy to adjust between players.
